Faultless.
Good old fashioned quality build. Instructions include many references about how to preserve the item's longevity - not the modern attitude to helping you to ruin it and then buy another. Would recommend without hesitation. The Hose Manclip is excellent and a very handy device to help hold hoses in place. I am using it on a varity of 20 litre containers and it fits all of them which is very helpful. In addition I can say that your siphon pump is the bees knees and is perfect for the job I’m doing. We make around 500 litres of comfrey liquid fertiliser for our garden each year. It is very smelly stuff and getting it on my hands is a nightmare and demands some drastic cleaning if I’m to be allowed back in the house. To say that the pump works well is an understatement. Normally, using a plastic siphon and a jug I can take a day to decant 100 litres of the liquid into smaller containers from the vats where we brew the fertiliser. This last brew was decanted, bottled and stored in three hours, mostly because I could use 19mm hose which speeds up the process with a vengeance. At last a siphon pump that is built to last, is easy to use and looks like it might outlast me. Many thanks for the product, I’m really chuffed.

Multi use Syphon
Very easy to use. I bought this to remove a tank full of petrol from my car that has broken down beyond economical repair. Was not going to scrap it with all that gas! You push the supplied plastic tube down the filler of the car with brass end first as its weight helps to get the tube to the bottom of the tank. Next you push the bulb (arrow on side shows direction of flow) onto the exposed end of the tube with the other end of the bulb directed into the petrol can. Pumping the bulb draws the petrol up out of the tank. Keep going until you see the petrol has no air in the tube. At this point you wish you had disposable gloves on as you have to pinch the tube and remove the bulb resulting in a bit of petrol on your hands. Direct the tube back into the can and fill. Lifting the tube and can above the car petrol tank stops the flow. Simple. I would recommend this product as it beats having a mouthful of petrol. If you are a plumber emptying an old water tank it would beat having a mouthful of rust!

Good quality, but not universally applicable for fuel priming jobs
Good quality piece of kit and well thought out. Just beware that, if you're intending to use it to prime a fuel system, the pipe won't necessarily be the right diameter (it's too big to mate with the fuel lines on my diesel Ford Focus), in which case you'll need to find another pipe of an intermediary diameter to join them together... that's what I did anyway. I can't fault it otherwise. A small carry case would be nice (mine came in a ziploc bag) but obviously that would add to the cost.

Brilliantly simple.
The best ideas are usually simple and this is brilliantly simple. It is very well made and easy to use. Use it with the tubing supplied or any hose from 3/8" to 1/2" inside diameter. I use it to siphon kerosene from my heating oil tank into containers to use with an X300 flame gun or paraffin heater for the greenhouse. It will save me a fortune compared to buying paraffin in containers. Simple but brilliant piece of kit that will pay for itself many times over. Highly recommended.

Pump is fine, hose is NOT fuel resistant.
The pump works great, has nice confident action. The supplied hose is nice, but NOT petrol resistant, even though this is stated in the description. After a week with fuel in the line, it's gone rock-hard and have shrunk and now is unusable.

I don't know how I managed without this!
I keep pet terrapins in a five-foot tank, and every time I did a water change I was gambling with my life trying to judge when to let the hose go from my mouth as I sucked in air to draw the water out into a bucket. I hated water changes because of the risks involved. Now, they're easy thanks to this marvel. A few squeezes of the bulb and then I remove it from the hose and the water flows freely - clean, quick, easy! I recommend this to anyone who has pet tanks and needs to do water changes.

Simple and Efficient
I bought this to deal with a recurrent problem I've had with a fuel line air lock on my van. The tapered end of the pump inlet fits a range of hose diameters and the pump works efficiently. The materials are good quality and the pump worked perfectly on its 1st use, pulling air and fuel through approx 4 feet of fuel pipe plus the mechanical fuel pump.

Avoid - do not waste you money
This was a complete waste of money. Delivery was very quick, but the product itself is useless. The bladder that creates the flow is supposed to pull a vacuum in the pipe to get the flow started, but the non-return valve does not work so it is of no use at all. The pipe has a nice brass weighted end, but with such a badly made bladder system it is completely useless.

Worked well to drain a inboard boat tank
This was pretty easy. I didn’t have to worry about any sparks. It has a clamp which made it easy to shut off the float to switch into tanks. Took out 30 gallons of gas from an inboard tank. It is not the fastest, but it works fine.

Franchement pratique

Consigliato.

Impressive! Simple, effective, high quality, easily removed excess transmission fluid from my truck!
I have a old Ford Ranger that accidentally had 2 quarts too much transmission fluid in it. I bought this pump based on the reviews and very glad I did. Easily removed the excess fluid, didn't spill a drop in the process, couldn't have been easier or more cost effective solution. You can use this pump in two ways, one for gravity feed, other other for non-gravity, which is the method I used. For non-gravity suction, you simply cut about 2 feet (or whatever length you need) off the end (the section with the brass fitting). You attach that smaller piece to the end of the one-way hand pump (arrow pointing towards fluid flow). Then attach the long hose section to other side to the pump. I removed the transmission dipstick and inserted the long end of the hose down. Keep working it down until it hits bottom, trust me it's longer than you think. You think you reached bottom, but you will go in further. I would occasionally hand pump it, if no liquid came out, it meant I haven't reached the bottom yet. Once I hit the bottom of the transmission fluid tube, it immediately started sucking up fluid with each hand pump. I used an empty 1 gallon apple juice container to empty out the fluid. The supplied tube holder worked great in holding the opposite end of the tube. I very quickly pumped out the two quarts I needed removed. Once done, I pulled the tube out and that was it. I really appreciated the quality of this pump. Seems pretty simple, a clear plastic tube and a one-way hand pump. But these guys use quality components, doesn't feel cheap in your hands, solid and strong suction. I know this isn't a throw away item, but something I can use for years. Very impressed with the results and quality!
