Midori Aluminium Ruler - Black

It’s very handy for keeping with a sketchbook — I’ve used it to figure out the pitch of a roof of a church I was sketching, as well as the usual straight lines. It’s sturdy enough when closed, you need to be careful not to bend it when it’s open, but it’s not super-flimsy or anything. It’s really nicely made and finished, and it’s accurate — because Amazon asked I put my (expensive) callipers on it — it’s as good as dead-on. :) It’s a lovely little thing.

I did not realise how useful this would be - Really well built and precise, nice flat edges on all sides make it great for drawing and cutting when using a crafting knife. No complaints from me, does what it says on the tin after nearly a year since buying it. Plus it looks really cool.

I wanted a ruler that would fit in my pencil case but could also rule the full A4 page. This does exactly that. THE great thing about it that i didn't realise is that it has a angle measurement tool as well. WOULD HIGLY RECOMMEND 👍👍

This, for me, was a luxury buy, an example of the Japanese knack of producing everyday objects that ooze elegance and desirability. It is small and bijou, and it opens and folds convincingly and reassuringly, suggesting that it will last well in use. Angle accuracy is pretty good, but the gradations on the hinge-ring are difficult to read and hard to accurately set due to the small scaling. I purchased the black variant and the etched white markings on the rule are easily read. I like this little ruler a lot. Using it makes me smile inwardly. I certainly do not regret my purchase as it oozes style beyond it's function, but the angle element falls short as I would not trust it as a standalone to provide me with a trustworthy angle.

Excellent piece of portable drafting equipment. The built in protractor is a nice little extra.

The quality of this ruler is top notch. Feels good in the hand. Sturdy aluminum. Doesn't feel loose when extending it to it's full length. The tiny angle indicator and arrow to measure the angle is a nice touch. Good quality item. Attractive. It's a ruler you probably wouldn't want to lend out. You definitely won't find anything like this in your local Staples or art shop in North America.

Esta regla es una de mis cosas de escritorio favoritas! El hecho de que se doble permite que se pueda llevar a cualquier lado. También por ser metálica se puede usar como guía para cortar papel o cartón con cutter sin dañarla. Se me había perdido la primera y la volví a comprar porque es un must!

This is one of the nicest tools I’ve owned. The ruler is sleek: - It folds smoothly into itself, making a subtle, yet satisfying, clasp-click sound when the metal reaches the metal upon closing it - The protractor lets you measure angles - The ridge (where the ruler connects and disconnects to fold) doesn’t affect the straightness of a line drawn - The tension from the hinge is loose enough for easy opening and closing, while tight enough to maintain an angle - The measurement markings are etched in and then painted - The ruler is small in both height and length (when folded) A couple of additional notes: For people who measure in inches, this measures only in millimeters and centimeters; conversion is an option. Also, while the hinge should last a long time, I’d be careful with opening and bending the ruler just in case. This ruler is well-designed, and I recommend it for anyone who wants a portable multipurpose ruler.

Righello spettacolare. Piccolo, pratico, robusto, preciso. Fattura in metallo di qualità ottima. La possibilità di aprirlo e raddoppiare la sua lunghezza è per me un valore aggiunto non indifferente, per non parlare della possibilità di mantenerlo saldamente ad una angolazione desiderata (compresa tra 0 e 180 gradi). Una volta fermato all'apertura desiderata (apertura continua e lineare, non a scatti), mantiene la posizione in maniera salda. Ecco, a voler essere pignoli, la regolazione dell'angolo di apertura delle due metà del righello non è precisissima, ma non è stato pensato per lavori di precisione. Un po' caro forse, ma ne vale la pena. Nel complesso, più che consigliato!
