This little radio is insane. The battery life is incredible, I listen to Bluetooth while working and it lasted well over 11days minimum run time of 6 hours a day and still had a quarter battery life left. Quick to charge and easy to get a back up rechargeable battery. I have tried adding the additional batteries. The sound quality is ok, perfect for what I wanted it for which was a few days camping. The DAB seems good, I am really impressed with it, looks well built and easy to use. 9/10 from me, the sound quality could be a little more refined if that’s what you are looking for, but for me it was more about practicality and battery life.

I bought the Duronic SDAB1 as part of my emergency kit, and it’s exceeded expectations. The build feels solid—compact but durable, ideal for outdoor use or stashing in the car. The DAB+ and FM reception is crisp, and Bluetooth connectivity works flawlessly for streaming from my phone. What really sets it apart is the 4-way power system. I’ve tested all modes—solar, hand crank, battery, and USB recharge—and they all work as advertised. The solar panel is surprisingly efficient in decent light, and the hand crank is smooth,unlike some cheaper models. Great peace of mind knowing I can power it even off-grid. The flashlight is bright enough for basic use, and the SOS alarm is a thoughtful touch for emergencies. Sound quality is decent for a compact unit with clear vocals and enough volume for a tent or small room. Overall, it’s a versatile, well-designed radio that punches above its weight. Whether you’re camping, hiking, or prepping for power outages, this one’s a keeper.

Really lovely radio. I like it a lot. Reception is excellent with a good clear tone. DAB working well and hasn't crashed yet ( unlike another radio I have ). For it's size and price point I think the sound quality is impressive. It has an equaliser to adjust the sound which I like. Not sure the solar panel makes much difference to the battery charge though. Which leads me to say battery performance not so great. However, the rechargeable battery is easily replaceable, which is a good thing. Or it takes 3 x AAA batteries. Tried the wind up crank for a full 5 minutes of winding but didn't seem to make any improvement to the battery life. Also like the retractable handle and the rubber feet on each corner. Really useful. And easy to use presets and the tuning nudge lever works well and is like those you find on the Sony portable radio. Very pleased with it so far. Took a star off the rating because the battery runs down fairly quick and I don't see any effect of the solar panel.

Doesn't work. Not a peep. Whether winding the handle or charging by USB absolutely no sign of life. About to be returned. This is disappointing as apart from the obvious reason I have other Duronic stuff that works perfectly and is good value. I'm hoping the next one works.

Excellent radio

Found the system really easy to set up,not tried solar charging yet, not used to power or charge phone from unit but the lights are really bright with powerful beam on search light.charges easy by winding. Am pleased with purchase. *****

Tolles Radio ohne Strom und ohne Batterien. Man kurbelt und schon spielt das Radio. Auch eine Taschenlampe befindet sich am Radio. Super hell und man kann sein Handy laden. Ich kann das Radio nur empfehlen!

Es una radio de emergencia super completa. Yo la he elegido por permitir reemplazar la batería de 18650. Tengo otras y además me permitiría recargarla en la propia radio. La batería que trae de serie es una INR de 3200 mAh 3.7V 11.84Wh. De la carga solar y de la manual me fio bastante poco en estos dispositivos, pero lo que tenga, bienvenido sea. Es posible usarla con 3 pilas normales AAA. Tiene Dab+, lo que quiere decir que está adaptada para la tecnología próxima, que ya se debería de haber implantado en España, pero aún no lo han hecho. Aún así varias emisoras (creo que 5, entre ellas RTVE) ya emiten en DAB+. Tambien capta señales en FM. Es una pena que no tenga ninguna certificación IP de polvo/agua. La marca ha dicho que resistencia salpicaduras y polvo. Lo que su armazón y estructura denota, sin embargo que tuviera algo oficial sería genial. La otra pega es que no sea capaz de recibir señales en AM. Creo que con esas dos cosas sería la radio TOTAL. La recepción de señal es buena. Tiene una linterna que sirve para lo básico. Dispone de puerto de carga USB-C, salida USB para cargar otros dispositivos usandolo como una batería externa/PowerBank (esto es genial al tener varias baterías 18650) y una salida de audio por un puerto tipo Jack. El sonido es aceptable, en calidad e intensidad. En la parte de las baterías hay un interruptor rojo para encender/apagar de forma manual el aparato. Dispone de conexión por bluetooth para poder usarlo como altavoz. No lo he probado, pero asumo que la entrada de Jack es, además de entrada, de salida de audio también.

elle marche bien, le son est un peu grave. En bougeant la radio, elle est obligée de refaire son acquisition au bout de trois mètres, vive la radio numérique terrestre, j'ai pris un taxi et il m'a dit que le son était haché. Il doit y avoir les grosses têtes en ébullition pour remédier à ce problème. Les piles sont considérées en accessoires et c'est vrai, elles se vident assez vite. Et le petit interrupteur qui coupe la batterie est bien pensé.
