I see lots of adult bikes but does it fit kids bike on it?

It will depend on the frame size, my daughters bike just about fits on but she is an older teenager. It doesnt help that on a ladies bike there isnt much room at the front of the frame for the bar to go through. The black clips on the bars rotate which makes it easier to get smaller framed bikes on.

Whát is the distance between the arms. I need to check that it will carry a small frame bike which my current Thule does not?

The distance between the bars on this bike rack is 16 inches from outside to outside. Hope this is helpful.

Will this fit a convertible audi a5 2012??

All you need is a tow bar and it will fit. Mine is 3 years old and still works perfectly

Does this tilt back with the bikes on so that you can get into your boot?

It does but in practice it is very hard. I had 4 bikes on and the weight was too much to get it back up again. I strongly recommend a trial run. It is a very good bike rack though, highly recommended
