my 3yo son is scared of big toilets,and, in 2 weeks we are flying to  carribbean,8 hrs on the plane.is this small enough to carry in hand luggage/bag?

It is not very good for boys too low, it will be better for girls. I only used it once and there was pee everywhere. It is better to get toilet but I don't think I can mention the store I got one from as Amazon might not post this message. In short to your question. Tippitoes travel potty is very useless potty for boys

I've just used supermarket plastic bags with a bit of paper towel. The actual liners with it didn't seem to fit.

We still carry it in the car for our (large) four and a half year old. It still gets us out of trouble on longer journeys. Having used this regularly for about 8 months, I would agree with other comments, that despite the general good design of this device, the bags are just a little too tight and a little to prone to split at the rim, so you often need to have a second go.

yes, you have to use liners and they sell them on amazon. you get a few with it. trying other bags and pads, as suggested by somebody's review didn't work for us. In fact I would recommend to get a normal potty instead, as this for us proved waste of time and money. My boy was too big for it and when we tried to use it, it usually still spilled in the boot of the car and it was terribly uncomfortable for him. For a petite girl it might work though.
