OXO Adjustable Handheld Mandoline Slicer, White

I've used this mandolins a couple of times so far, and I am very impressed. The cutting blade is extremely sharp and the holder works fine. I like the fact that you can vary the thickness of the slice, and choose whether to hold the cutter or just stand it in the surface.

Great product for slicing think or a bit chunkier. Has a good safety feature so the "washer upper" doesn't cut their fingers. Fantastic for slicing tomatoes, potatoes, thin enough to make crisps. I've been using mine a few months, I love it. Great value for money.

Pros. Free standing so easy to slice directly into the bowl. Easy to adjust the thickness. Very sharp. Not too bulky for storing. Food holder creates a safety barrier from the blade. Cons. A bit flimsy. Its shakes about a bit as the food slides towards the blade. This is particularly apparent if you want to slice quickly. Not so bad on a slow movement. Food holder not particularly useful. Gripper pins too thick to pierce most foods. Small food chunks get lost in the cavity of the holder so have to be sliced manually. (I wouldn't recommend using this with just your fingers.)

Really like this product. Easy to use and for some reason it encourages me to eat more fruit and veg?!

Does what it says, easy to use - super fast to get slices done and great for the onions. I wish I had bought the black one as I use it alot for carrots and they have stained it.

Sin dudas una buena opción para rebanar, la sujeción de los alimentos es buena y la variedad de los grosores en la rebanada ayuda mucho. El diseño permite apoyarte del mismo recipiente donde caerán las rebanadas. El costo del producto me parece adecuado al beneficio que obtienes; ahorras mucho tiempo.
