Hi, you can use this with almost any case that does not have a built in screen lens. So gel, silicone, tpu and most cases with open front are fine.

is this suitable for latest iPod touch, mine is only 12cm long and 6cm wide, yet most of the screen protectors on amazon talk about 17cm...

yes it covers the whole screen and is very prompt on deliveery it also depends on the protective cover you have on the back of you apple device as i have experinced it pushing up the screen protector and cracking and snapping the screen protector hence why i would get a stock pile of these
