Although most of my newer equipment has moved over to USB-C, I still have several devices that use Micro USB, so a good USB-C to Micro USB cable is surprisingly useful to have around. I chose this Cable Matters lead because I've had good experiences with the brand before, and it hasn't disappointed. The cable feels far more substantial than the cheap generic alternatives, with a durable braided finish and connectors that fit securely without feeling loose. It's been completely reliable for both charging and data transfer. I've had no connection issues, and it's one of those cables I can plug in without wondering whether it'll work first time. The 1-metre length is a good compromise—long enough to be practical on a desk without leaving coils of spare cable everywhere—and the braided outer jacket gives confidence that it'll last far longer than the thin cables that often come bundled with devices. As Micro USB gradually disappears, good-quality replacement cables seem to be getting harder to find. If you still have cameras, audio equipment, accessories or other hardware that relies on Micro USB, this is a well-made cable that's worth spending a little extra on. It's been completely dependable, and I'd happily buy another if I needed one.

I bought this Cable Matters USB-C to Micro-USB cable to connect my older Garmin Edge 530 (pre-EU model) to a modern USB-C charger and my MacBook. Works flawlessly for both charging and data transfer. The cable is braided, compact, and feels very durable. With USB-C becoming the new universal standard, this is an ideal solution if your Garmin still uses Micro-USB. Highly recommended — saves the hassle of adapters and lets you keep everything USB-C in your setup.

I had a specific need for this cable: my Garmin Edge 530 had come with the old style USB port cable to micro-B (at the 530 end). I had a couple of USB C to micro B cables but they would not work with the Garmin. A quick check online, it turns out the data transmission both ways is not good with cheap cables. I took a chance on this one and it is nicely made, the cable is braided so I expect it will be durable, the plugs are both end are obviously good. It's actually made in the USA, which is some reassurance. No problems at all with this one, worked very well.

I got this to connect my iPad to a MIDI keyboard, and it works perfectly. No lag or connection issues, just plug and play. The cable feels well-made, with a sturdy braided design that should last a while. The length is just right for my setup, and it fits securely in both ports without feeling loose. I’ve used it quite a few times now, and it’s been totally reliable.

This cable has worked great so far. The braided exterior feels durable and much stronger than the typical rubber cables that tend to wear out quickly. The connectors fit securely and make a solid connection without feeling loose or flimsy. Charging performance has been consistent and reliable, and data transfer works just as expected. The length is also convenient for everyday use without leaving a bunch of extra cable lying around. Overall it feels well made, dependable, and like it should last a long time. Definitely a good value and I would purchase it again.

I needed a cable to wire into a 32bit Audio DAC. All of my standard cables i had laying around from back in the day (micro usb) would produce a random click. The cause was signal interference. I was trying to find a high quality cable that was braided, shielded, ferrite tipped, and long enough to make the distance. But every ferrite beaded cable i could find didn't seem to be the quality i needed. So i ordered a pack of clip on ferrite beads, and this cable to check all my boxes. I'm writing all of this to illustrate how good this cable alone really is, because I've been testing it with out the bead for a couple hours now. The music is flawless and clear of clicking, and I swear it sounds even cleaner than before as well. The EMI/RFI shielding is clearly doing its job. I wasn't expecting the cable itself to be a stiff as it is to flex, i could tell as soon as i uncoiled it, that it was quality. I normally say if i would buy this again, but I don't think I'll ever need to. I will being looking for Cable Matters cables going forward though.
