BL+ The Cream

It is a bit different from other high end creams I’m used to, it’s almost a bit slimy but I like it. Can be a bit greasy on the skin at first but I like that bc my skin tends to dry. Smell is definitely a bit odd, but the silica at the lagoon isn’t particularly fragrant.

Love the rich yet light texture of this moisturizer.

My first impressions of this facial cream were pretty positive. The cream itself is very thick and luxurious; smooth and velvety in feel. It applies very nicely, absorbing into my skin relatively slowly. Once absorbed, it left my skin feeling smooth, soft, and well-hydrated. The cream itself is unscented and did not seem to leave any oily residue or film after being applied. While this seems to be a really nice facial cream and I have no complaints at all about its performance, I cannot get over the high price compared to the product size. At $85, I would be expecting to receive a much larger jar of product, something in the 2 to 5-ounce range, not just 0.5 oz I received. The jar itself is tiny, almost the size you would see for a sample product. Overall, while it is a very competent and luxurious product, I think the price is out of reach for the average consumer. If the cost were lower, I would probably be willing to purchase it again. But, as it stands right now, I think it is unlikely that I would pick this cream up again.

I am particular with face creams but this product had me curious. My 50- year old beauty routine includes organic European products that are quite pricey. However, this product at over $80 for half an oz certainly tops that. Is this product worth the price? It depends. If your skin is prone to dryness this intensely hydrating moisturizer may be worth the price. After using this for a week, here’s what I discovered. Its absorbs quickly, its non greasy and it made my face look dewy after each application. On initial application, you will notice how creamy the formula is. However my skin absorbed it in seconds. My makeup stayed on very well throughout the day. I didn’t have to blot excess oil from my nose. When applied at night, there were no filmy residue on my face the following day. It glides on your face. You don’t need to use a lot. I dab it on my nose cheeks and forehead. And that’s enough. I use the product in conjunction with my other serums. Will I purchase this again? Maybe. I am always on the lookout for excellent moisturizers in the winter when my skin needs it the most. This product contains all natural ingredients plus ceramides that are essential in good moisturizers. It’s not greasy and is absorbed by my skin so quickly. Again signs of an excellent moisturizer. It does make my face more supple and dewy. Having used this for only a week, however, too soon to verify any of the other benefit it espouses. I do feel that this is an excellent, high end product

I am now reviewing the Blue Lagoon - BL+ The Cream Whipped Facial Moisturizer after using the entire jar of product. This 0.5 ounce jar provided me with a total of 14 uses, applying once daily to my neck & face. I have normal skin: not oily, nor dry. The first time I applied this cream, I was amazed of how nice it felt going on; a little goes a long way, it is fragrance-free, and I had no issues with any irritation. Although it did leave my skin looking greasy, after some time, it soaked right in; leaving my face feeling extremely soft to the touch. But because of this, I only used it at night. After each use, I found myself loving this cream more & more; my face was well-hydrated, my skin was glowing, and I swear it helped reduce the size of my pores. This luxury cream is by far the priciest skincare item I have ever used, and I am very grateful I had the opportunity to try it. Would I recommend? Absolutely. Would I purchase again? Yes, if it were more budget-friendly or at a time when I can afford it.
