can this be installed on tile without finding studs in the wall?

I have 7 units installed on the ceramic tiles in the bath room. That is,1 (24"), 5 (36"), and 1 (48") that are not installed on studs. They worked perfectly to provide support for my wife's balance condition. I would not hesitate to mount to mount the supports again on ceramic tiles again for balance support.

Is the secure mount the best way to mount one of these in an apartment with steel studs?

Apartment? 1. Will you lose your security deposit if you install this? 2. Is this in a bathroom? 3. If you answered NO to Q1 and YES to Q2, the grab bar can be mounted using sheet metal screws into pilot holes drilled into the metal studs.

I need this for a elderly 225+ lbs male for help, not lifing entire weight from shower and using non-stud install, will it fail??

My husband weighs about 200 lbs. and I had it installed for him, but I really love it too. I had a professional install it as it had to go on a ceramic tile wall, which can be tricky to drill on. I highly recommend this grab bar and I like the length.

Will all 3 screws fit into one stud 1 3/4 in stud width ?
