How well would this pedal work when used with a Rickenbacker 360 12 to get a Byrd’s jangly sound?

This is a compressor and sustainer; it's not a guitar modeller.; all it does is to help sustain the note you are playing.  So you want to be a rock 'n' roll star, then listen now to what I say....  Just get your R-360-12 electric guitar and take some time and learn how to play, then in a week or two when your hair's grown right and your pants are tight, you'll get Roger's jangly tone and a falsetto voice.  I love my CS-3, but it won't give you The Byrd's jangly tone.  You really need to get the sound in your head translated through your fingers into the guitar.

What would be a typical setup for a solo electro acoustic guitar player (strumming and light fingerpicking)?

Im a newbee please explain what minimally do i need to use this pedal. all i have so far is a lp copy and a marshall amp.

You can use a compressor in a number of different ways… to balance the signal coming into your amp, to provide thickness or boost to a solo or to clip a signal so that the sound sits better in a recording mic or band setting.
You really need to try and use your ears to see what works for you

The 100 watt amp has that got a built in speaker ;) never heard of a compressor pedal with integrated power amp .

Not 100% sure about this question. I bought this sustain pedal to use with my Laney studio amp. The pedal has no integrated 'power amp'; it's a conventional foot pedal. You can use it between the guitar and the amp...or in the fx loop of the amp. I do the second; thereby reducing any noise from the pedal. Does this help?
