Brilliant addition for ANY brand mitre saw
Highly recommend this Saw Bench - no I haven't been paid for his review, I had to buy this myself! Now that I've cleared that up, heres my review.... Admittedly I have only had this a couple of days so far, but with my previous experience of using other DeWalt tools, I know that I have made the right decision and bought a well made piece of equipment, that will last me for years to come. The bench itself is mostly made of extruded aluminium, with a quite hefty cross-section used for the cross beam. The legs are also aluminium, but the end brackets holding them to the cross beam are steel, as are the two saw brackets, and adjustable timber support brackets. The clamps that lock the legs in place are mostly plastic (but with metal locating pins) - operation is very easy but also very secure in both open or closed positions. The two arms that attach to the saw are also metal, with plastic quick release brackets, although if anything, I think this is the weakest part of the design, but not enough to warrant losing a rating star. The issue I have is that when the saw is actually fitted to the bench, I find it difficult to reach over the saw (from the front), to access the quick release catches to allow removal of the saw. This process is the advised way to attach or remove the saw in the manual. BTW, I refer to using a DeWalt DCS365 XR 18v cordless mitre saw, which in saw terms is reasonably small with an 8" blade, but I reckon probably would cause issues if the larger 10" or even 12" models are fitted And finally the extension arms appear to be steel, about 40mm square and do not show any possibility that they would twist or sag in normal use unless you are intent on being brutal. Also, the design of the main part of the bench means that the the two beams when stored, slide into the body of the main via the end caps, but are offset - IE one aligns along the front side, the other along the back side, but are locked in place with plastic cams. I notice that one of the viewer questions asks "do the extension arms twist as they are not central?" - well, no they don't twist, but the beauty of the way they store within the main body means they save space. The way the main cross beam has designed means that there is a central channel on the top face into which the timber supports are located into, slide along, and can be locked into place. When erected and the saw is fitted, the bench is very sturdy and have not had any issues when cutting moderate lengths of timber. Another viewer asked whether can any saw be used - yes, does not have to be from DeWalt, and have ordered a spare set of QR brackets (DE7025), so that I can make a general QR board from ply, that I intend to use with a Delta 240v chop saw, a small drill press, and a bench grinder - I intend to use T-Nuts and threaded knobs to allow quick fitting and removal of each tool as needed One thing I have noticed though, that might affect non DeWalt users, is the ability to do mitre cuts. Included with the saw is a hardware pack of various sized bolts etc, which the DeWalt manual includes suggestions of how to use the combinations to mount your saw to the QR arms - strangely though some of the fitments say to have the nut and washers on top, which on the DCS365 18v saw would prevent full movement of extreme mitres, so the easy way out of this is to turn nut and bolt the other war around, but the positioning of the bolts might be an issue for some brands of saw. So there you have it, my limited experience, but I would still highly recommend this as an addition to any decent workshop.

EXCELLENT piece of kit.
This is an EXCELLENT piece of kit. It hangs on the wall of my tiny workshop and can be set up and the mitre saw attached in under a minute. the extension arms are strong and the ends easily adjusted to match the table height of your mitre saw. The arms also do not twist or droop when the wood is loaded onto the saw. (Unlike other well known brands) I bought it as setting up the saw on my home made table was taking so long that I was not using the saw as much as I should. My workshop is too small for a permanent mitre saw station and this has solved that problem It is now quicker to set up and put it all away for just one cut than to get out my workmate and all the clamps needed to do it the old way. It is also at a MUCH better working height than my old solution.

Typically great DeWalt quality
If you have a DeWalt chop/mitre saw then you should get one of these. I'd had mine for over 5 years but this has transformed its use, I just wish I'd bought it earlier as it lifts the saw up to a really convenient height and has timber steadies either side that can move in or out depending on the length of the piece of wood being cut. Whole product is very well made, oozes quality and engineering, and is almost ready to use out of the box. That quality comes at the small cost of weight as it is quite heavy but comes with an integral carrying handle that means it is easy to carry about when folded. Now if DeWalt made a folding multi-purpose workbench like the old B&D Workmates, I'd be at the front of the queue!

Brilliant stand
Had a cheaper version of this before from a supermarket brand. it was sturdy but the saw didn't attach in a way that put it in the centre. This feels even more sturdy and attachment is correct so saw feels solid when attached. easy to put up and take down too.

Excellent addition to my Dewalt Chop/Mitre Saw
A very sturdy bit of kit. Makes using my associated Dewalt Chop/Mitre saw a pleasure to use. Extendable "arms" are brilliant to support a longer bit of timber or guttering. Easily folds down to a large-ish but manageable size.

Sturdy portable sawbench
Just what I needed for my chopsaw. The height isn't adjustable but it works for me and I'm over 6ft. Once the saw has been fitted to the quick-fit brackets the bench can be set up and dismantled in seconds. I looked at cheaper benches but the ones I saw were fiddlier to assemble and not so sturdy. Intended for site use. To set up:- There's a handle on the underside of the bench to carry to site. The unit is light and well balanced. To open the legs there's a lever which retracts the pin holding the legs closed. The legs can be opened up whilst holding the handle and the bench turned over and placed on the ground. The saw with the bench attachment just needs to be pushed against the locating rail and dropped into place and it's securely attached to the bench. To dismantle, grip the locking clips below the saw and holding them, release the levers that hold the saw onto the bench. Harder to describe than to do. Fits most chopsaws, not just DeWalt. Highly recommended.

ALSO KAUFEN!!! ;-)

The Dewalt Compact mitre saw stand is sturdily made and portable, it weighs 14kg. It has a carry handle at the balance point, which makes it easy to carry with one hand. It folds up to a storable size, and the length is adjustable between 1.1 to 2.6m. A good product at a very good price on Amazon.
