Loving this screen - lightweight, durable case/stand and connects with one single usb-c cable (supplied) to my MacBook Pro Touchbar 15”. The single cable is the winner for me - quick and easy to connect with power and data running down the same cable and works on mains power or battery (although obviously it does drain the battery of the MBP faster). The image quality is not blow-away amazing and could do with being able to go brighter, but is adequate a secondary monitor on-the-go. I am still working on getting something compact to increase it’s height to make it more ergonomic. I work in many different places where usual office setups are not supplied, so it is great to be able to ‘move in’ and make an efficient and ergonomic office desk setup in seconds. Highly recommended.

Great little product. MAKE SURE THAT YOUR USB C IS THUNDERBOLT. I bought this screen to help when working from home, it is like a big tablet that fits in my bag alongside my laptop. Being powered and providing video feed form the single USB C is excellent, means I no longer need a permanent monitor on the desk to have a 2 screen set up. The stand could be better, magnets would be nicer than velcro, but its good enough to use. Brightness isn't as good as my laptop screen, but I have a pretty decent work laptop, anyone using a sub £500 machine would probably see this being as good or better than their current laptop screen. Would I recommend it at £165? Probably not, but if you can get it for £120 or less, its a no brainer.

I am a web developer and take my laptop around to work with. Screen space is limited so I decided to get the ASUS MB169C+. It connects to a USB type C port with thunderbolt 3 displayport alternative mode support. So your computer has to have a usb type c WITH a lightning logo around it. If you are not sure, check on the manufacturer website. The case that comes with the screen does a good job of protecting and doubles as a stand. A bit complicated at first to figure out but works well once you get the hang of it. It can be adjusted at 3 angles which I thought was genius. The monitor is practically plug and play, you connect the cable and boom, your ready to go. Monitor turns on automatically and your pc/mac/laptop should pick it up instantly. The monitor itself has some pretty impressive features from the other bigger ASUS monitors. It has presets for things like Gaming, Theatre, Reading, sRGB etc. There are some cool technologies for a wider viewing angle and sharper images. All work pretty well, I was impressed. But being a web developer I desired true colours so I went straight to sRGB mode. Then I saw the first weakness of the monitor. Side by side my laptop screen I noticed the colours were off. I have a Spyder 4 and 5 colour calibrators and my laptop screen was at full 100% sRGB gamut volume and levels. I thought maybe the monitor just needed calibrating too. So after 2 hours of calibrating and profiling, the best result the calibration could get was a measly 64% sRGB gamut volume and 63% sRGB gamut levels. Only greens could reach close to true sRGB levels but else where it was just bad. I still kept the screen simply because you just can't find a better screen for this size, weight, features and resolution. I use this screen to code, read and display any other useful information. I do all my graphic design on my main screen for true colour reproduction. Maybe I'm being a bit silly but I purchased this monitor for my ASUS X515. I thought I would simply plug in the lead supplied with the monitor. This didn't work. Searched drivers on the ASUS website to see whether this was the problem. After hours on trying to get the two to communicate I phoned the ASUS help desk. My time spent was wasted as the two do not and never would be able to communicate. If you have a similar laptop then make sure you go for a model with an HDMI port. ASUS do not sell a monitor which is compatible with AUSUS X515.

I purchased the MB169C+ model during the PrimeDay to benefit from added discount, and im very happy with the product. For my particular purpose, sales showroom, its a great tool to help share my screen with customers and create a professional set up. Everything I needed came supplied, a simple USB-C to USB-C cable and works flawlessly with my Dell laptop. The case simply folds in on itself and allows multiple different angles and monitor positions, and the case itself is sturdy enough. Highly recommended, only reason you'd want anything better is for touchscreen models.

Very good product, works as expected. Unfortunately I found it impossible to hook up 2 USBC displays to my work PC so had to send one back, but am very pleased with the purchase. Flicker-free, good brightness, not quite as sharp as my main PC display (hence 4 stars for picture quality) but really very satisfactory. Super easy to set up. Recommended.

Good things, turned up on time, good display, light as a feather, connected first time to my 12inch macbook, good cover supplied BAD, the control switch is very fiddly the screen uses a lot of battery very quickly on my macbook , be ready to charge your macbook unless someone knows of a dongle (USB-C) to (USB-C twice) as you cannot charge your macbook at the same time as using the monitor ? could be someone on here knows of such a dongle or a way to charge the macbook at the same time as using the asus monitor?

Love the product. I am on the road most of the time and having access to a 2nd monitor is super. Couple of downsides with this is that the screen is not very bright even in max. I really like a bright screen. The other is that it drains the battery from the laptop a lot faster. There is a new version of this screen that its own battery, but I could not wait for it since its not released yet so went ahead with this. I guess that one would be heavier as well. This one is very light. Quiet thin as well so does not take up much space. UPDATE: Seems I had a blond moment, the brightness was only set at 50%. Now it is good. Uprated to 5*. UPDATE: Been using this a lot over the last 4 or so months I have had it. It travels a lot with me so I can have access to a 2nd screen any time I am on the road. Still love it, but I noticed there are white blobs appearing in the screen, spots that are brighter than the surroundings, about the size of a whiteboard marker tip. Started with 1 blob, now I have about 7 or so. I will need to send this back, which will be annoying as there will be postage costs and time that I will not have access to the screen.

E' un buon prodotto ed è arrivato in meno tempo del previsto e questo è stato ottimo perché l'ho preso per lavorare a casa, causa Covid. Ottimo l'inscatolamento e facile da installare. Lo uso su un Mac Pro Touch attraverso le porte Usb C. L'installazione è andata liscia e senza problemi.Una volta posizionato sulla sua custodia che fa da supporto, l'ho collegato al mac e in un attimo si è acceso e ha iniziato ad estendere il desktop. La dimensione è ottima e ci sta nello zaino che uso per il portatile, quindi anche per il futuro lo userò in ufficio o dove mi capita. L'autonomia della batteria ne risente un pò ma è dovuta al fatto che lo schermo non ha una sua alimentazione esterna e questo è un pro, anche se avrebbero potuto pensare ad attacco alternativo dell'alimentazione in caso di situazioni desktop. C'è anche il modello superiore con touch e batteria,ma le recensioni e il prezzo mi hanno fatto scegliere questo. Ci sono molte altre marche, ma solo questo Asus prende alimintazione diretta dalla usb. Nota un po dolente è la luminosità dello schermo. Un po bassa. Non è luminosa come quella del portatile e penso che sia a causa della mancanza di una seconda alimentazione. Giocando un po con le impostazioni, sono riuscito a trovare una soluzione per avere un buona visione delle informazioni. Altra questione è la rotazione. Non è automatica. Peccato, si deve agiure sulle impostazioni del pc, ma per ora ho giusto fatto una prova e poi, da due mesi a questa parte, l'ho sempre usato in orizzontale. Che dire. Lo consiglio anche se come prezzo forse è un pochino alto.

Très satisfait de cet achat. Je n'ai pas validé sa capacité à fonctionner avec tout portable pourtant équipé d'une prise display port mais je n'en ai eu aucun, et il prolonge donc très efficacement mon espace de travail. Très léger, très bonne finition, très simple à brancher - le port faisant office d'alimentation, on ne transporte donc que le minimum. Et le poids réduit fait qu'on n'hésite pas du tout à le prendre.

Da ich öfter auf Reisen bin, aber meinen zweiten Monitor nicht missen will, habe ich mich für den Asus MB169C entschieden. Ich bin sehr zufrieden, Das Gerät hat ein mattes 15,6" Display, das wirklich spiegelfrei ist. Es ist sehr leicht und in einer praktischen Tasche, die auch als Ständer dient. Man sollte allerdings vorher prüfen, ob der USB-C Port des Notebooks auch ein Signal ausgibt, das funktioniert nämlich nicht bei jedem.

La pantalla se ve bien realizada, no pesa nada y cabe en cualquier sitio. Aun así el tamaño está muy bien para trabajar. Lo utilizo con un Macbook Pro del 2019 y simplemente lo conectas al conector USBC y listo. Sin enchufe de corriente ni nada. La imagen no es obviamente la del Retina del Mac, pero es muy buena y se lee muy bien al ser mate. La funda hace de soporte. Al principio parece que no será estable, pero una vez le pones la pantalla encima va perfecta. Recomendable

Achat d'un écran de confort pour mon portable, pas besoin de câble hdmi ou mini display, l'usb suffit. Seul bémol, pas de solution réglage sur l'écran, il faut passer par l'interface graphique et les réglages sont limites mais pour un second écran ça reste acceptable. Hormis le prix, je recommande ce produit aux amateurs de mobilité...
