Ernie Ball Polish Cloth

We live in a disposable, throwaway world. Buy a modern home appliance today, and it will inevitably throw a tantrum and stop working by next Tuesday. But six years ago—all the way back in the distant mists of 2020—I parted with a mere four pounds for a square of grey fabric. The Ernie Ball Polish Cloth. Six. Years. Ago. To put that into perspective, since I bought this cloth, the world has gone completely upside down, prime ministers have come and gone like British rain showers, and yet, this single piece of cloth persists. My specific routine for this rag involves saturating it in lemon oil to clean and condition my guitar fretboards. It handles this task with an almost supernatural level of competence. It is, frankly, the Goldilocks of the textile world. It isn’t awkwardly massive, nor is it uselessly small. It isn’t brutally rough, yet it isn't so delicately soft that it dissolves the moment it touches a guitar string. It easily absorbs the lemon oil and transfers it onto the wood beautifully. You would think that after more than half a decade of being soaked in acidic citrus oils, dragged across sharp metal frets, and generally abused, it would look like a piece of Swiss cheese. It doesn’t. There are absolutely no holes. There is zero fraying. It looks, astonishingly, like it has barely been used. The value for money here is so far off the scale it’s practically entered orbit. However, I do have one slight economic concern. I paid £4 for this. I notice it has now skyrocketed to £5. At this terrifying, runaway rate of inflation, a hundred years from now our descendants will positively need a bank loan just to afford one. But until that dystopian future arrives? It is an indestructible masterpiece. If you own a guitar, just buy it. It will probably outlive us all.

Great cleaning cloth, very soft and excellent to remove fingerprints and dust. There was a little white tag on the back but I removed it to be sure to don't scratch my bass guitar. Anyway I recommend it, I'm very happy of the purchase..

If you care about your guitar, you should buy this cloth. It is not the regular which comes with music man models ( the yellow one), this is made of a special fabric that keeps your guitar new without any other product. The pick guard of my silhouette special could not have any single scratch if I have bought this cloth before."

Very nice. It's hard to explain, but it has a different texture from most other cleaning cloths (the style that you get to clean glasses with), so as a result, you can clean different types of smudges than usual. Besides my guitar (which it will get looking nice and clean), I also use it to clean my laptop screen. Just as a side note, I accidentally put mine through the washing machine and had to get a new one, as it weakened the old one quite significantly (i.e little bits would come off easily and the texture changed), so I wouldn't recommend washing it like that.

Would be easier to use if they would wrap around finger just a tiny bit more. However my frets turn out fantastic.

Good micro fiber cloth, absolutely nothing to complain about. Keep it in my care to wipe down rig after shows. Just keeps working.
