Marvelous affordable sketchbook
Okay obviously it's difficult to get excited about a sketching book, but I have to tell it's one of the best ones I've owned considering the paper quality and price. There are sketchbooks with better paper but the come at higher price. The tooth of the paper is small and holds pencil great. I have also tried charcoal and pastel, while charcoal was fine though due to small tooth could be smudged easily, I personally would not recommend to use it with pastels. The convenient A3 format allows not only to sketch but also make detailed drawings. I have personally used in a life drawing class. The hard cover adds to overall convenience as one does not need to carry a drawing board. The fact that it has spiral bound makes it doubly useful especially if drawing in a confined area. Overall great for any budding artist out there.

Vibrant and High Quality
Pros: Vibrant cover, good quality pages Cons: Wrinkles when wet I stand by the Pink Pig products as I've had multiple that have been brilliant buys. I am always picky when it comes to getting a sketchbook because I am a student and need a decent one for college. This product has good thick quality pages and plenty of them, I still haven't run out after months of doing artwork every other day (or even more often). It takes watercolour, oil, acrylic, pencil crayons, biro etc well without any problems apart from it wrinkling slightly if you apply too much water although it tends to flatten whilst it dries, but not all the time. I will be buying this product after I have run out my current one, or a similar variation. I also love the bright coloured covers that make it more quirky than the normal black versions I get.

I will only ever buy the Pink Pig sketchbooks
I was so happy to find this sketchbook on Amazon after I’d used them in school for Art. The pages are great quality and the book keeps its shape and doesn’t fall apart easily. The cover is textured which is great if you wanted to decorate the front. I have used watercolours, acrylic paints, oil paints and everything in between on this sketchbook and the paper won’t tear or get soggy easily. For those who understand, the black cover also doesn’t shed onto your hands from continuous use or holding it for a long time like some sketchbooks do.

Good quality
Really good quality paper, takes pencil and charcoal well. Accidentally sprayed too much fixative on one page, no problems, the paper held firm. Spiral binding is the best, you get flat, even pages and the covers and paper feel pleasant to the touch. Pages are nice and white. It can't handle mechanical pencils, pens, or fountain pen ink (haven't tried markers) but that's to be expected, the grain is designed for graphite. Overall a nice buy, the only thing is it will fill up in no time as it's a little thin, 35 pages aren't a lot. Also, the surface of the pages is quite textured and coarse. This can be good or bad depending on what your preference. Textured paper takes graphite and erasing pretty well but it's hard to do details. Basically in all probability the end result will look like graphite on paper (which it is) so if you're going for photorealism then maybe look around for smoother paper.

Angenehm dickes/schweres Papier
