Bought this to spray over an Airsoft rif after adding colour to it.. I'll be the first to admit my paint prep is rubbish but this still gave a nice Matt finish to the paint but seems to have helped protect the paint from scratching. It has taken a few heavier hits which have taken the paint off but I suspect that's mostly on my prep work more than this Matt lacquer. I'll definitely be using it again on more projects

All too frequently products are wrongly described - another manufacturer's 'matt' lacquer I previously purchased from Amazon was in effect a satin finish and not acrylic but solvent based. This product delivers what is written on the can - a matt acrylic finish and particularly suited to hiding slight blemishes (eg sanding scratch marks on wood) that a satin or gloss finish only highlight. Good product, quick drying.

After using another more expensive lacquer to repair my alloy wheel, which just wouldn't dry shiney I thought I'd give this a try. Ordered and arrived the next day. I submerged the can in warm water before using. On the first coat onto the prepared wheel I got a lovely even coat which is very glossy, and has stayed glossy on drying. This product really stinks though so use it somewhere well ventilated and or wear a mask. But I can live with that for the great results.

Sold as having a high gloss finish, but if you look through the images, one of them actually states that it gives a matt finish.. There can't be much call for matt finish clear lacquer, so why is this being sold and described as having a high gloss finish?

I wanted a clear, matt, hard-wearing finish on some aluminium channel. A first couple of coats of white and then two coats of this stuff on top has delivered an excellent finish - even and with high chip resistance on my test piece. I used the product at the lower end of the recommended temperature range, and left 24 hours between coats. How durable it is remains to be seen, it hasn't been on there long enough to judge yet.
