A Swiss Army knife for all your leather needs.
Renapur is a ‘Swiss army knife’ for leather care. There are multiple uses for it across a range of leather goods from boots and shoes to leather jackets and furniture. Here are some ‘case studies’: Cherry Red Dr Martens Boots: I used to do very traditional ‘military style’ polishing, with coloured KIWI and buffing with original DM style boots. But after discovering Renapur a few years back I’d only do this if the boots were scuffed, faded or needed individual care—with Renapur, simply clean with a damp cloth, dry, and spend 10-15 seconds with a Renapur sponge. High shine. Better than traditional polishing. No bugging required. Great! Matte/lightly finished shoes. I have some brown Dr Martens and some cowboy boots that have a matte ‘waxy’ kind of finish. Renapur keeps both looking as they should, deepening the colour, working with the patina, waterproofing, preventing cracking, etc. Here Renapur’s conditioning ability shows. 1970s leather jacket. I found an old Schott biker jacket that hadn’t been used in years by the look of it. The leather was free of actual splits, cracks or holes but was so dry such issues would surely arrive soon if it was worn as normal. This was a slower process. There’s no point slathering on loads of Renapur, however board-dry and arid a jacket seems. Thin layer. Leave. See how it is. Go again. After even one coat the leather was returning to life, 3-4 coats and the leather had probably absorbed all it could and felt as supple as it should. Oh, and squeaks and creaks had gone. A lot of colour came back too, although the patina remained. All in all, it went from ‘jumble shop junk’ to ‘lovely vintage piece’ with Renapur and a sponge. Impressive. 25 year old Chelsea boots. These were bought but my mum when I was a teenager. After some pairs didn’t look great in the shoe shop my Mum suggested some ‘Alfred Sargents’. They were 180 quid! Almost 3x the price. They’ve been polished 100s of times ‘traditionally’, and resoled once, but as they’re only used now than then for ‘best’ all I use now is a Renapur sponge. Keeps them looking great. Renapur seems to give leather what it needs. It will make leather last MUCH longer by preventing cracking and splits. It restores a lot of colour, fixes (minor) scratches, smells nice, lasts a long time, saves time over faffing with other methods. Can’t praise it enough.

Worth the money
Despite my previous dispositions, I truly believe this is worth the price. At £15 I thought this to be a little steep, but decided to take the plunge after reading some of the reviews and being super impressed by the visual results. This definitely doesn’t disappoint. I bought this specifically to revitalise and hydrate the leather on some vintage Destroy boots I bought second hand recently. Immediately I noticed how easily the product soaked into the leather and got it looking soft and renewed. I’ve added some photos of the progress, before, during, immediately after, and once the product had dried. The smell isn’t offensive, or overwhelming. It’s quite subtle but it is there when applying. I haven’t noticed the smell lingering on the boots once it has dried/absorbed into the leather. I’ve tried on a couple of my jackets, and I believe it may take longer for the product to absorb/effect that of a shinier leather? Although this is just my assumption from using the product three times. Overall, there is enough left that I’m expecting this product to move house with me, so a £15 investment isn’t the worst financial decision I’ve made. I’d recommend if you’ve got a lot of leather items, especially for things that need a little extra moisture!

Very good quality just needs time to sink into leather
Easily applied sparingly… although I’ve put blankets over to prevent any wax transferring to clothes. Needs time to sink into leather. Second application may be wise.

Great for tired looking leather.
Brilliant stuff! Only need a tiny tiny amount on the sponge (included in the box). It totally rejuvenates the leather and revitalised it to look like new again. It is neutral in colour but it totally enriches the colour of the leather too. A little goes a very long way. Would definitely recommend. It dries quickly leaving no residue. There is no real smell on the leather once applied. It is thick, not runny - more the consistency of soft butter.

High quality versatile product.
I'm impressed. Applied the product to a leather three seater sofa and leather chair. It's relatively easy to apply (using the separately supplied sponge) and creates a high shine that lasts much longer than cheaper spray polishes that claim to contain beeswax. It's surprisingly versatile and can be used on a variety of articles. I've used it on leather shoes and slippers but it appears it can be safely used on any leather, as it is absorbed and doesn't transfer to clothing. The slipper leather has just started to show signs of cracking, so I'm hoping that regular applications will moisturise the leather and either stop or slow down the degradation. All looking good so far.

Easy to use Cleans leather well
A quick wipe with a sponge coated in reaper cleans well and leaves a shiny finish. Great for leather shoes and outdoor boots. Been using this for years and years

It seems fine.
Pretty good stuff. It goes on easily, smells OK and seems to moisturise the leather. To be hosest, it's the first leather balsam I've every bought and used so I can't really compare it to anything.
