A Lot of Meter For The Price....... And it measures DC Current too....... Well Impressed!!!
For the price, this handy little Meter/Tester is well worth buying! The fact that it measures not only AC but DC Current too, is worth the price in itself. To date, I am very impressed. Granted it isn't perfect but it's pretty damned close. Acceptably accurate, even if you have to keep 'zero-ing' to obtain an accurate reading. The probes that are included are a tad slow when testing for Continuity, but this is down to the probes rather than the Tester. As such, if you're fussy, you may want to use some better-quality ones. Also, the included storage bag is a little soft and flimsy. It's better than nothing but a harder case would provide better protection..... Again, for the price, one can't really complain. I'm left-handed, so the trigger being situated on the left, works Very Well for me, whereas if I hold it in my right hand, I find it awkward to use the trigger but maybe you Right Handers, don't have that issue! All in all, a Very Nice bit of kit that is very handy...... Literally, as it sits very comfortably in one hand, is simple to use and view the readings which are very/acceptably accurate. Basically, Highly Recommended!!!

Excellent general purpose clamp meter
A very good clamp meter. Tested thoroughly on DC low currents and seems quite accurate. Easy to use. Good display.

A supprisingly accurate instrument for DC current measurments
Before use, I verified the DC current and voltage accuracy of this instrument using recently calibrated equipment (typical accuracy 0.05%) and was very impressed with its performance. For low currents (0-100mA) the meter was measuring within 3mA of the actual current at higher currents (0.1 to 50A) all readings were well within the specified 2% (Did not test between 50A- 100A). The voltages were within specification. The only thing to be aware of is the meter does take some time to settle to the correct reading so if the current under test is varying reasonably quickly (within say a period of 10 seconds) then you may have difficulty with the accuracy, so for this case would recommend a current shunt. For the price this is an excellent instrument for current measurement where you do not want to or its not practical to break the circuit under test.

Fantastic mini clamp meter at a giveaway price
Love it! Bought as a backup for my Fluke 376 and for those times when the Fluke is too big to fit, however it's rapidly becoming my go-to clamp. It'll read fractions of an amp, apparently accurately, when the Fluke just reads zero, and the voltage and resistance measurements are on point. It's all the meter a lot of sparks will ever need, and it's dirt cheap and easy to carry.

Brilliant - every toolbox should have one!
This is a brilliant meter, well made, compact and versatile. Like most people reading this review I thought that clamp-on meters could only measure a.c. current. But this meter genuinely measures d.c. current. The meter can indicate currents as low as 1mA but as may be expected the effect of the earth’s magnetic field can cause errors and care must be taken to zero the meter in the orientation in which it is to be used before making a measurement, otherwise errors as high as 50mA be result. I’ve not done a detailed estimate of accuracy but when measuring d.c. current I would expect an error of +/- (5 + 10%) mA. So, it is best used for fault finding rather than precise measurement. N.B. This meter can be used for a wide range of tasks but you cannot use the test probes to measure in-circuit current.

Decent for a amp clamp
Nice solid feel, but I wouldn't think it would last too long being bumped off the bench onto a hard floor. This is the best amp clamp I could find for under £50, which was my budget, considering I already have a couple of traditional multimeters. I needed an amp clamp to measure current without breaking a circuit and voltage in cables where accessing terminals is difficult to reach and manage current spikes on load. You can read the spec for this and compare with other models in the UNI-T range, so won’t list spec here. It is easy to use and performs well, the clamp opens to about the width of your finger which is enough for small applications. Voltmeter is accurate down to 0.01V in the voltage range and 10mV in the millivolt range. Current is not as accurate. If you are measuring large current, the Amp range is acceptable but in the mA range, it could make difference depending on the component requirements, TV, computer, PSUs, other sensitive electronic circuits, but for general indicator for diagnostics this is good enough for the price. I do find the auto ranging function sometimes not performing at all, and sometimes taking a long time, sometimes having to constantly select the AC/DC switch or the rotary dial. I would like to see auto ranging for current without the need to select 2A and 20A, sometimes the meter struggles to display reading appropriately. I needed to see mA but the meter decided to display A range, removing my need to see current value to the accuracy I needed to measure, 0.01A could be anything from 100mA to 199mA and needing to determine 150mA made using this a bit difficult. I have not checked but other amp clamps in the range might perform better but I did not check and suspect the price would easily go over £50 I would also prefer the meter to either have a mechanical AC/DC switch or an AC/DC setting with memory, so not having to constantly switch to DC every time I switch the meter off or change the dial, because it always defaults back to AC.

Jag var ute efter en liten och smidig känslig tångamperemeter för likström. Denna var perfekt för mig och erbjuder dessutom en hel del andra värdefulla finesser.

I do construction and automotive work. I have expensive Fluke meters in the construction trailer and in my toolbox in the garage. I wanted an inexpensive meter with an AC and DC amperage clamp to carry in my truck for those times when you need a volt ammeter and aren't near your tools. I was impressed with the compact size, it has weight (not a cheap plastic housing) and readings compare closely to my expensive Fluke meters. So far within a few days of its arrival I successfully diagnosed a vehicle charging system problem, located an overload problem in a home electrical box and located a faulty home electrical outlet. The last one was what I was most impressed with using this meter. As you may know, when an electrical outlet fails you can lose power at multiple outlets or lights as the circuits run in series. With typical no contact voltage detecting pens (like Fluke) you can detect power but need to touch the wire or stick the tip in an outlet (which is great in a lot of situations). This meter has a built in non contact voltage detector (in the tip of the amp clamp). I was able to scan through the walls from 8 inches away and detect live AC wires (outlet to outlet, outlet to switches and switches to lights). The closer you get to the live wire the faster the meter beeps. I detected power to one outlet and no power leaving it. I removed the outlet from the wall and it was one of the cheap ones that the bare wire just pushes in the back. It had arced causing a burned spot and no power to the exiting wire. This alone only took a few minutes which paid for the meter itself in time savings!
