Great tool for the job
"I recently tackled a bathroom renovation project and needed a reliable tool to remove old silicone sealant. After trying various methods with limited success, I came across the Draper Silicone Sealant Removal Tool Scraper, and I'm thrilled with the results. This scraper exceeded my expectations in terms of effectiveness and ease of use. The angled blade design allowed me to access tight spaces and corners with precision, making the removal process much smoother and faster. Draper scraper's sharp blade effortlessly cut through the old silicone, minimizing the need for excessive scraping and reducing the risk of damage to surrounding What impressed me the most about this tool is its versatility. In addition to removing silicone sealant, I found it useful for other tasks such as scraping paint, adhesive residues, and caulk. Its multifunctionality makes it a valuable asset. Overall, I highly recommend the Draper Silicone Sealant Removal Tool Scraper to anyone in need of an efficient and reliable solution for removing old sealant.

Worked well for me on stone shower tray and tiled wall
Was skeptical given other reviews but it worked fine for me. Sprayed 18month old silicone shower seal with C-Tec mutli-solve, waited half an hour and used the metal head pushed and pulled to remove the bulk and the plastic scraper for the rest. Another coating of solvent, waited half another half hour and the last bits came off. Probably one of the least aggro silicone removals in the last 20 odd years. Worth it to save an hour or two and endless clean up if you scrape it off in tiny bits! Yes the metal end is sharp, so if you have a plastic bath/tray/trim you’d have to be very careful.

There are better tools at removing mastic.
This metal and plastic tool does the job but has to be used with care. The metal Vee shaped digger can easily scratch the paint on skirting boards and personally I prefer mastic remover tools made of plastic.

Does the job
Very sharp and it cut through the old sealant around the bath with ease.

Definitely helps
Bought this while at my wits end trying to remove silicone from the side of the bath/shower screen after a leak. Blades/silicone remover had all failed me but this definitely took some for he hard work out. The plastic end was surprisingly effective at removing and the pointed end made light work of removing large chunks. The only reason it’s not got 5 stars is its durability. I had already done quite a bit and by the time I was done it was rather battered looking, particularly on the plastic end. If this is something you’ll be using regularly I would look at something more durable or expect to have to replace but for a one off job it definitely lightens the load.

Fantastic product. Not for the ham-fisted!
A thoroughly excellent product that if used correctly will yield perfect results. I used it on delicate uPVC window frames and trims. The underside of the sharp corner of the front right-angled metal scraper needed a very slight sanding prior to use to enable smooth movement across uPVC surfaces but other than that it was good to go. The flat, sharp plastic scraper was also used a great deal for removing thinner areas of silicon after having used the metal end and it worked extremely well. Once its sharp edge becomes blunted it can be sharpened up again by sanding it with a fine grit sandpaper on a sanding block. No need to cease using it as others on here decided to. I'd buy another one of these tools in a heartbeat and it is likely to be far better than the all-plastic alternatives I've sent on here. NOTE: If you are somewhat ham-fisted you could well do some damage to uPVC windows etc with this tool so be careful!

An excellent device
This proved really helpful in removing a tick layer of silicone sealant from a worktop and tile surround. It's not an easy job, and this works only in one direction, but it worked well enough to make a difficult job very much easier making to possible to remove every trace before reapplying. I'm glad I read the many positive reviews and went for it - you won't be disappointed.

Sehr empfehlenswert.
