The mugs have a pottery type feel to them, with a fine textured matt finish. Wide base, very stable, they might be 14oz if you filled them up to the rim so that you couldn’t carry them, but very happy with my purchase. It can take a LONG time to find just the right mug for that all important first cup of coffee!!!
