Not totally waterproof but work great over top of training panties.
While not totally waterproof these absolutely do the job well if used over training panties to protect furniture and keep clothes dry. Now I'm sure if training panties were left on wet for long they might leak but this has not been a problem for us at all even at night. But at night we use overnight pull ups with these on top for added protection. The fit is wonderful and does not dig into toddlers thighs like some of the plastic totally waterproof ones do. These are also soft and don't make the sounds you get with plastic ones. I just purchased a second set because we like these so much.

Durable and reliable
Yes, these run large but I knew that when I purchased them. I purchased a medium for my 25 pound 18-month-old son who will be potty training soon. I bought them to fit over Under the Nile training pants, size 12-24 months, and they are just about perfect. They are a little "balloon-y" looking, but they do smoosh down under clothes. I probably could go down to a small but I'm afraid the leg holes would be too tight then. They are just right on my guy's skinny thighs right now, with a little room to grow. We used these for cloth diapering in the newborn phase and they worked well then, too. We used them over prefolds. A few notes about durability and other uses for these: We put these on over my son's night diaper (Pampers Extra Protection or Huggies Overnights) because we have problems with dampness. My son pees a ton overnight and these help. My son had the stomach flu a couple weeks ago. He had one of these on when he went to bed, and he woke up with a very full diaper and had pooped all over the place. While this cover didn't hold the mess (there is NO WAY any cover could have) I was very worried that it would be beyond stained. I threw it in the wash with the rest of his poopy bedding and clothing and it came out without a stain on it. Anywhere. It was actually amazing, because it had been covered in poop. So these apparently don't stain easily. Our newborn Dappi is also stain free, despite fielding 8 weeks of newborn poop. Very solid and reliable, cheap, workhorse cover. Not as easy as a wrap cover, but one of the trimmest out there for under clothes, and a great alternative to Gerber "rubber pants" for potty training.

Helpful to prevent diaper leaks overnight
Our baby is tall and slender, so she needs to wear a size 6 diaper heightwise but is only about a size 4 weightwise. Because her legs are slender and not chubby, the size 6 diapers fit perfectly on her torso to prevent leaks and blow outs out the back, but the diaper legs aren't fitted tightly enough to prevent leaks down her legs. So, we decided to give these rubber diaper covers a try. We sized down, based on reviews, and they were a perfect fit. We doubled up her diapers at night and then put the rubber diaper cover over the diapers. It fit just fine, even with the extra diaper. Nine times out of ten the cover has caught the leak and helped keep her bedsheets dry. Every so often, she leaks a bit around the legs. In those fewer rarer situations, though, it has also helped prevent a big mess. The covers are easy to wash by hand or in the machine on a speed cycle in cold water and then hang dry. They typically hang dry quickly as well. So, we have only needed one 2-pack and just wear one and wash one, but if you don't wash every day you may want to invest in a few packs to last through a week. These diaper covers have given us greater peace of mind at bedtime. We do recommend them for anyone with a similar issue to ours. I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 only because they don't 100% completely prevent leaks, but they are very good quality and are unlikely to rip or tear. The diapers we use that worked best overnight are Huggies Skin Essentials. They actually worked better than Huggies Overnights (which were much too big around the legs) and all other Huggies types (we literally tried them all). We found that we could use a Huggies Skin Essentials diaper and then double over it with any other type/brand diaper and then put on the rubber diaper cover. I hope this information helps other parents struggling with a similar issue.

Great product for potty training, truly waterproof when used correctly, runs big
Fantastic product for potty training- truly waterproof (without containing any vinyl). We use them over training pants and they do not leak at all. They do not make a noticeable crinkling noise when baby walks either. What a great alternative to having to wash the carseat or carpet every time we have an accident! They are super easy to wash (if they aren't soiled I just rinse them in the sink with warm water - then just hang them up and they dry overnight). They do run quite large, maybe in part because they are sized for use with huge cloth diapers (when we used them over training pants instead). We are just growing out of the size small now, at 32" tall and 26 lbs. So definitely size down. PS here's a crucial tip: To avoid leaking from user error, you have to make sure that ALL OF THE ABSORBENT MATERIAL IS FULLY CONTAINED WITHIN THE COVER. If you allow even the slightest bit of training pant material to peek out of one of the leg holes or the waist, the moisture will wick out and you will have wet clothes. It took a little while to figure this out, but now that I've gotten myself in the habit of just tucking everything in when I put them on, we haven't had a leak since.

Good for potty training
I have bought these twice now. Was very pleased with the first pair. We have been using them for months over my son's underwear at night just in case he has an accident. When I bought a second pair in the next size up, one of the covers lost the waterproofing material after just a few washes. It was kind of like it melted and peeled off, though I didn't wash them any differently than the others. The other one in the package seemed to hold up for the several months until my son didn't need them anymore. Like other reviewers have noted, these do run large. Since we were just putting it over underwear and not a bulky cloth diaper I was glad that I sized down. I guess for the price, 3 out of 4 holding up isn't too bad and will probably do the same for my daughter when she is ready.

.
I am using these as overnight diaper covers for my 15lb, 4 month old twins and the small fits perfectly over their diapers. I was getting sick of them waking up after 10 hours of sleep and having a sleep sack/crib that was dry but didnโt pass the sniff test because their diapers get so full after all those hours. I also like the price point since I wanted enough to get me through a few nights and I have to buy double. I thought I was going to have to buy expensive reusable diaper covers so I was very excited when I saw that this was made in small sizes and not just toddler size like other brands.

Does as expected.
First I want to say this...for all the negative reviews of bedtime soaking through..THESE ARE NOT FOR SLEEPING...They are for potty training a child during the day while you are up and moving through the house. They are not for traveling while trying to potty train use a pullup or easy up or a diaper for travel. I have used these on 2 of my other granddaughters now we are raising our 2 year old granddaughter and starting the potty training process. They fit great in the legs but to me they are the same size as the large which is basically a 2T. This morning we started every 15 minutes to sit on the potty so far no accidents at all she loves the training underwear that goes under these. She feels like a big girl like her cousins. She can pull down both easily pulling up and getting over her bottom is a little harder so Granny helps her. These are not to use alone or for sleeping in they are not meant to hold full bladders read the purpose for these before you buy!!!! Who in their right mind would think these would work for a 6 month old child...they are for POTTY TRAINING not for putting over a diaper for a 6 month old. I would recommend these for the purpose they are meant for. Thank you for a great product.

Better than Gerber for potty training.
Purchased the size small for my avg. 22month old who wears 2T underwear. If I had wanted baggier the medium would probably have worked but I wanted more fitted. For you mamas out there about to start the potty training journey, we used the 3 day method at 19mo. and it worked though it was more like 7 days. Now we have graduated to a phase where accidents are pretty rare but do sometimes happen if she's really engaged in something and just forgets. At first we used a pull-up only for naptime and at night, just in case, but this was very confusing for our little one. It looks and feels too much like a diaper. So now we use these for nap time and sometimes trips away from home over a regular thick cotton underwear. IMO this is a MUCH better option than pull-ups because on the rare occasion of an accident, she knows it immediately because she can feel that her underwear is wet and she says something. The "plastic pants" as we call them in our house are just there to saves parents the extra mess on her sheets, etc.. I can't speak to their use for all night, we haven't use them for that yet For those considering these as diaper covers for cloth diapering, I could see it working if you change it regularly. We did regular cloth diaper covers because I just liked the cute colors/patterns etc.. but if you were on a strict budget these could be worth a try. Also as my headline mentions, these are much sturdier than the Gerber diaper covers which are thin and one had a rip on the side in the first week of use. I bought Gerber first because we love their cotton training pants and it is a trusted name and it was cheaper but in this situation, you do get what you pay for.
