Yikes! We need install instructions and none were included

Remove the small screw on the back of the bracket holding the rod, slide the front piece out and remove the rod. Place the bracket where you want to mount it and mark the 2 holes for mounting. Drill small starter holes for the mounting screws. Replace the bracket front, but do not replace the rod. Mount the bracket WITHOUT the rod inserted. Once the bracket is installed, slide the rod into place and it should then hold the rod in the slide.

Mounting screws were not included?

Yes, screws were included for use on 8mm predrilled holes like in the side panels of a closet system or into drywall.

Can you mount these in a wall instead of a cabinet?

You COULD mount it on the wall but in order to have the rod slide out it would have to be mounted on an outside corner. Otherwise you wouldn't have enough room to hang anything.

Does it come in satin brass?

It's been a while since I purchased them, but I do believe that the hangar rods were offered in 4 or 5 finishes.
