Fantastic unit and I really didn't appreciate how much of a difference the Sub Mini would make with the Sonos Beam (Gen 2). I’m no audiophile but the bass is full, deep and fills a large room (approx 24’x17’). Ive not even turned the bass up and it’s perfect. Adds real depth to movies, music, tv and lets the Beam focus on the trebles. The set up is easy and I’m still to move it to another room and pair with my old Sonos One’s to see what that sounds like. I would recommend this unit and find it hard to imagine what most of us would need the bigger sub for.

Bigger than you think it’s going to be considering it’s a sub “mini” but very easy to set up and was the last piece of my Sonos surround sound set up. I love how it all works off the WiFi with no cables around the room (except for the power cables to plug the speakers in). Definitely adds some heft to the low end where you feel that rumble in explosions in movies. None of this stuff is cheap but, if you buy at the right time, you can save yourself a lot of money. You can also build it gradually as the speakers all work independently. I started out with the soundbar on its own which really boosted the sound and then bought the rears 12 months later which gave me that surround sound experience and now the sub mini for extra bass. All Sonos stuff is packaged really nicely and looks good. I’d definitely recommend if you’re looking to add bass to your Sonos system.

My review for the setup of the Sonos Mini Sub is based on the android setup process You plug in the Sonos Mini Sub (SMS) and then go to the Sonos App, give the SMS time to be found on your network, it doesn't take long, the Sonos App will tell you when it's found. Once the SMS is found the Sonos App will ask you to confirm you want to add the SMS, select the room and speaker setup you already have, then it asks you to confirm by tapping your phone on-top of the SMS. It will then ask you to confirm the update process, click yes and it will take a few minutes. I found the whole process simple and took around 5 minutes I would highly recommend then going in your Sonos settings, with your favourite song playing, and tweak the base, surrounds, and all sound settings inside the equaliser. Adding the SMS will now change your original setup because the SMS takes care of all low base sounds freeing up the rest of your setup to take care of the mid and high range, before I bought the SMS there was always the issue, with just having the play base and surrounds, that when watching films the sound at times would be extremely loud especially during intense moments in action films for example. With the SMS there is no longer this problem, it takes care of all the low end base balancing out the sound experience across all the speakers Now everything is setup, I found the detail and music range is absolutely amazing. The range is full, deep, immersive and the sound quality really does fill the room, and if you love music the new SMS will only increase your love for music, in my opinion The Sonos Mini Sub has the same intention with film and TV lovers, it really does create that home cinema experience. I really hope that sooner rather than later Sonos offers an option to store settings to enable us to switch between movie and music listening on the fly. I found that setting up for music and movies are almost completely different. It's a pain to keep adjusting the setup between the both. Presets could make an amazing experience ... If have you have the cash to spare its a good upgrade to an already great sound system. It just adds that little extra thump that you didn't think you needed but glad you have.

Compact and gives base to make songs and music better.

Tried to integrate with my pair of Era 100, cannot get solid sound, especially for bluetooth connection. Bass is not even across the frequency range, some higher bass is loud, a bit lower frequencies are quiet. I think it’s design problem but it could be compensated by sound processing, however, I can’t expect this from Sonos nowadays, good software is not about Sonos anymore. Their new mobile application is total fail and it’s still not recovered! Instead of buying this subwoofer I’d suggest to get rid of Sonos completely.

Was excited to take delivery of this product but was defective and would not connect at all. If you are familiar with Sonos system then you will know how much effort it takes to reset them if you change WiFi settings. In the case of this particular product it would not connect to the network at all. After speaking to Sonos customer support online and going through the troubleshooting steps the product was confirmed defective. Very disappointing as the Sonos system to connect is not user friendly. Amazon will not issue a replacement but a refund with shipping that I have to arrange. All in all a bad experience for a product that I was very excited about.

Bought it from Amazon warehouse. It's a faulty piece. It doesn't get connected to mobile app. Not getting factory reset also
