Will this work for a 2002 Jeep Wrangler Sahara hard top?

Yes this product will fit all 1987-2018 jeep wrangler models.

How many inches high will a roof from a jl unlimited sit after it's on the stand. i'm measuring for storage in my garage?

It is about 82.5 inch. Please view the product images to get the total height of a TJ or JK or JL hardtop stand.

The item says it will fit a 2018 JK but the amazon garage says it is not a fit. Fit or not fit, that is the question?

The JKs tops from 2013 on are all the Same size , so it should fit. It fits my wife's 2018 Rubicon.

If I roll this against the wall how much room will it take up with the hard top balanced on it? I have a single car garage and need to check space.

I would say you wind up with a footprint between 2-3 feet. If you are parking your Jeep in the garage consider a pulley system then lifts it off and stores directly overhead. If I could that is the way I would do it. Easier on off that way.
