Fantastic. I have a old yet smart Sony TV, sound bar went pop and I could no longer use my bluetooth headphones. Prozor DAC to the rescue. For me it was plug and play, sound quality is great and no lag. I have used the USB for power via the TV and optical for signal.

Good quality build and done the job. Was able to connect AIWA Hi-fi with Dolby Prologic 5.1 system with TV. Now sounds like we're at the movies! Brilliant. Good length on wires so DAC converter nicely hidden. Love it.

We are using this device to output audio via optical cable from a TV and we are feeding the output into a rack mixer and then into a pre-amp to amplify the TV audio. Work perfectly well. Plenty loud with plenty of headroom left to play with. Sounds very good for a device of this type and price.

Sounds good,I have it hooked up to my TV with an optical cable and then into an amp with good quality RCA cables. Sound quality is good,clean and there's detail. It feels a bit like it lacks a bit in bass which is why I have it connected to my amp to adjust bass levels and also be able to turn volume up/down using an amp remote control. Only reason for giving it 4 stars is I heard something rattling around inside..had to open up unit to find a piece of solder or metal fragment inside. Other than that I'd say great product for the price.

This tiny module was purchased to give a wired output for a headphone connection from my TV's optical output. It is vert small so easy to accommodate. The volume control can be pre-set to give the required level for your ears! This unit is excellent at the price. It would be useful if the manufacturer could produce a similar unit (at a slightly higher price) which could take the optical signal straight through. This would save having to purchase a separate "Optical Splitter".

I was a little skeptical about this item due to price compared to professional DAC kit like the professional iFi Dac 2 costing around £150 and that being lowest end of the price band, and going up into the thousands for top end like the Chord Qutest kit, but the sound out of this device was impressive, even the volume was way more than you'll ever need for headsets, i had to turn it down to be usable, for me I needed something for my Xbox due to controller auto turning off after 15 mins when sim racing with a Logitech racing wheel. This is seriously annoying and taking batteries out and plugging controller in directly was not fixing the issues on the controller, so after reading some reviews around, some had used something like this to get around it, all you need is for your TV to have a coaxial output or Optical Toslink output which most modern TV's do these days, this device worked straight out of the box, no messing around with any setting on TV at all. I've also plugged it into my Cambridge Audio kit later to hear how well the sound throughput is, and it's not an all singing all dancing sound system, but the sound for me sounded great, it's done the job perfectly. I honestly couldn't tell the difference in sound quality from the headset being plugged into my controller or through this, so happy days, and no more reaching for the darn controller to turn it back on again while in the middle of a race.

I was struggling to get Panasonic RP-WF950 wireless headphones (wireless, but not Bluetooth wireless) working with a new TV I bought for my father (Samsung UE32M5500). He needed it to be simple to operate, and to switch between TV and headphone sound, and also both together. Bluetooth headphones are more complicated to operate, with more switches, etc., and these headphones had their own charger and rechargeable batteries - much better, I thought, in this context. The headphones needed sufficient input volume to be able to operate without distortion (I tested them with my iPad, and they worked best at mid-volume with my iPad). The missing piece of equipment was the Proster DAC converter. I have set them up on my Samsung U32J5500, and they work perfectly. I have set the Sound Settings to use external speakers; then there is no sound from the TV. I can also move up to the TV sound in Sound Settings to turn that on as well afterwards; then I can mute the TV sound with the mute button the TV remote, and still have sound on the headphones. That way the headphone sound is independent from the TV sound and also always available; it means my mother can sleep without being woken up. Also it doesn't need any fiddling in settings. It seemed to work well at about half the volume on the DAC. Quality was fine. I could also adjust the time delay between sound and vision in the TV settings, and extending it a little seemed to work well. I haven't been able to test it on my parents' TV yet, but I'm sure it will work well. Recommended. The only additional item I needed was a USB extension cable (and a USB charger) because I feel happier running the DAC through a separate mains charger than through the TV USB sockets.

In Sekundenschnelle mit dem TV-Gerät verkabelt, und schon funktionierte es problemlos. Der Lautstärkeregler ermöglicht eine optimale Anpassung an den Analog-Eingang des Verstärkers. Die Endstufe des kleinen Gerätes besitzt diesbezüglich jede Menge Reserven. Gleiches gilt für den Betrieb mit Kopfhörer. Betrieb mit einem Netzgerät wäre prinzipell möglich, doch reicht die Versorgung durch USB - zumindestr bei mir - völlig aus. Dies hat auch den Vorteil, dass beim Abschalten des TV auch der Wandler ausgeschaltet wird. Das Gerät vermittelt auch einen sehr soliden, wertigen Eindruck.

Till skillnad från enklare varianter av denna typ av produkt som bara klarar av PCM klarar denna både DTS och AC-3. För mig betyder det att jag inte behöver ställa om den genomströmmade avkodningen till PCM t.ex.. i Kodi för att få rent ljud i hörlurarna. I annat fall med enklare produkter blir det bara digitalt oljud i lurarna. Produkten är robust bygg med metallchassi och med rätt känsla i den lilla potentiometern. Rekommenderas!

Molto probabilmente mi era capitato un esemplare difettoso.Può succedere,anche se sono cose che avvengono molto raramente!! Ora posso solo decantare le mie lodi verso questo dac che funziona alla grande. Il DAC si presenta bello robusto con una sensazione al tatto di compattezza e solidità,con guscio in alluminio per ridurre le interferenze. Ha uscite per connessioni cuffie ed RCA,e ha un importantissima manopola per la regolazione dell'amplificazione del volume,che amplifica abbastanza bene. Nella scatola si trova anche un buon cavo ottico abbastanza spesso e lungo 1 metro con i consueti cappuccini di protezione alle estremità,e un cavo di connessione 5v dc micro usb-USB che si può collegare sia ad un alimentatore a parte,e sia ad una porta usb del tv,cosi di modo tale da accendersi e spegnersi simultanemente con il tv. Una cosa molto importante e che è descritta bene nel manuale(che è addirittura scritto nella bistrattata lingua italiana,che è molto raro trovare in questi prodotti)è che quando si spegne il dac,esso non avendo più collegato una fonte audio, NON emette il solito ronzio elettrico che fanno quasi tutti gli apparecchi audio,e questa cosa l'ho trovata un punto a favore splendido! Fanstastica la gestione post-vendita del rivenditore(non di amazon che fa solo da distributore)che mi ha contattato più volte per cercare di soddisfarmi e rendermi un cliente felice dell'acquisto! It's working well, just connected optical cable and changed on my TV LG OLED C3 settings audio out to optical. Working on all audio formats dolby, pcm or dts. For power I connected to one of TV usb connector. According to sound quality in general is good quality. But I download Tidal app to TV and compare audio quality on my stereo audio system from TV with this DAC and my Samsung Note 9 audio out also playing the same songs from Tidal. This phone has very good DAC. So audio from Samsung was more clear and detailed than Prozor. But in general for this price I think Prozor audio quality is good enough and I'm satisfied for this purchase.
