Gentle, Effective, and Great for Sensitive Skin
The Pets Are Kids Too Oatmeal Dog Shampoo (Baking Soda, Hypoallergenic, Anti-Itch, Moisturizing) is a really solid product overall. It’s gentle yet effective, great for dogs with sensitive or itchy skin. After using it, my dog’s coat felt clean and soft without drying out, and the oatmeal and baking soda blend helped soothe irritation. The shampoo lathers nicely and rinses easily, and it didn’t leave any strong or overwhelming scent. Overall, this shampoo is high quality, soothing, and worth using — especially if your pup needs extra care for itchy or dry skin!

Soft, shiny, snuggly, clean boys!
For those who want the key takeaways: 1) This stuff leaves my dogs amazingly clean, soft, and shiny. I used to do three rounds of bathing to get them clean. I only needed one with PAKT Oatmeal shampoo! 2) I hate the smell of 99.99999% of any and all fragranced dog products; however, I absolutely love the scent of this. Notice I didn’t say fragrance! It’s the scent of the oils, not a synthetic fragrance. It smells like a heavenly oatmeal cookie fresh from the oven but only if you get up close to snuggle. 3) One of my boys has some allergies. He has stopped itching. 4) My purchase helps to save sick dogs and, in turn, the humans who love them! Now the longer version: We have three chocolate labradors who play hard. In the Texas heat, this means they get sweaty and gross pretty quickly and VERY often. Don’t even mention lakes and creeks! I bathe them once every two weeks and sometimes weekly in the summers. I have to make sure their skin stays moisturized, so the oatmeal and moisturizers in this shampoo are perfect. Regarding the fragrance: I hate fragranced products. Period. I don’t buy them. I get debilitating migraines, and fragrance is my number one killer. This shampoo, though, is not littered with synthetic fragrance! The heavenly smell is from oils and oatmeal, AND the best part is that the baking soda helps deodorize. My dogs’ odor isn’t masked; it’s eliminated. The delicious smell is only even noticeable when you snuggle, so you don’t gag from synthetic cover ups when you walk in the door. It’s very soothing to me and the dogs. The puppy pictured actually flopped down and just relaxed in my lap during his bath. I absolutely cannot wait to order more!

Good for a regular cat shampoo
My cat is an over groomer and we felt like it was because she has really dry itchy skin. So I was hoping this would help hydrate her skin. Unfortunately I don't think it has made that much of a difference but we have only used it twice in 2 months since cats don't need much bathing. That said she does feel amazingly soft after she is all dry. Its difficult to keep it on for the 5 minutes with a cat so I will probably look at other options next time. I also find the scent to be a bit too much like your pet will definitely smell like it after, although it's a nice scent.

Amazing oatmeal cookie like scent, removes malodors softens fur & relieves dry skin!!!
I don't write a ton of reviews on Amazon, but felt compelled to give my honest opinion of this product due to the first reviewer "Bridgett" being 100% wrong on everything she said regarding this product/company. Of course, in a response given that I'm defending the product, she would likely say I'm compensated or own the company or some conspiracy theory, MEH. -Given the comments she made about product having no affect on her pugs and she "assumed" it was dry skin they were experiencing. I'm led to believe that she assumed wrong and the pugs have a bacterial/fungal infection and really needed a medicated anti-bacterial/fungal product to relieve their itching. NOW, onto my review. SCENT: This is by far my favorite scent of any dog shampoo I've used to date, I compare it more to fresh-baked oatmeal cookies. Not only is the scent a favorite of mine, but this shampoo works wonders at removing mal-odors from the dogs especially my puppy who has a tendency to urinate on himself when sleeping. SKIN & FUR: After washing with the all-in-one shampoo/conditioner my dog's fur is really soft to the touch and easy to brush. In general, my dogs' dry skin is alleviated all over from the shampoo except on my small dog who has a hotspot on the front of his neck that has no fur coverage. For hotspots, after the bath I follow-up with the hotspot spray/deodorant from this manufacturer and it soothes the dog. I then reapply the spray as needed days/weeks after bath for either hotspots or odor. -Should definitely purchase the spray in addition to the shampoo/conditioner if your dog has hotspots/odor issues. All-in-All you should definitely give this product a try if it fits your needs, and if it doesn't they have great customer service. My only negative that I experienced was that both my shampoo bottle and Anti-Itch spray bottle arrived with tops broken allowing half of both products to leak out into the box. Still, I was very happy with the product and realize weird stuff happens sometimes.

Helps our dogs itchy skin
Our dog gets super itchy, he is a mini Aussie and has long hair. I found this on Amazon, obviously bought it, gave him a bath and he quit scratching and chewing his paws for about a week. It smells pretty good, it lathers really well and isn’t harsh on his sensitive skin, plus helps his itchiness so he isn’t up scratching and chewing at his feet and keeping us up all night moving the bed scratching lol. It’s also pretty thick, so a little goes a long way. I just add more water to his fur and you can spread it better.

Great shampoo that is sensitive on their skin and doesn't irritate mine while washing them!
We have went through dozens of shampoos, one of our dogs was always very flaky after his baths and it got better with a different shampoo but it wasn't one hundred percent. With this shampoo he is no longer flaky after baths. It lathers very well and smells great. I was also having trouble finding a dog shampoo without aloe in it as it irritates my skin as well as theirs and I was so happy and relieved to find out that this did not have aloe in it. It also seems to last us a while, we have four small dogs three at around thirty pounds (Boston Terriers) and one at twelve pounds (Mal-Shi) , a little bit seems to go a long way. It washes off almost instantly unlike other shampoos that seem to stick to their fur and my pups hate baths but tolerate it so the quicker the better. I highly recommend.

Didn’t work for us, but great customer service
As a preface, I have contacted the company directly to explain the situation, and they are aware of the severity, the lot number on our bottle, and the order. They were very concerned, and are looking into the lot for the shampoo. The company was very understanding, and returned the cost of the order per their satisfaction guarantee. Our 5 month old puppy is an Australian shepherd blue Heeler mix, and so has a double coat that’s hard to identify when issues arise. We noticed about a month ago or so, after we started taking him to the parks once his puppy shots were completed, that he was having scabs on his back (nowhere else). At that time, we also started bathing more due to the dirt and saliva that accumulates when dogs play. At first, we thought maybe he had gotten bit or scratched, and that it would go away. Then, the patches started to get bigger. This past weekend we decided to try scrubbing his back to make sure it was getting to the skin and cleaning his skin and coat when we used it. And then it blossomed to the point of almost incapacitating our puppy to where he refused to move or be touched. We went to the vet yesterday (9/23/20), and they shaved him to get a clearer look at the issue. They were able to determine it wasn’t bacterial or parasitic, and was instead a very terrible allergic reaction. The vet noted, too, that since it was only on his back and not his belly or legs, that she was thinking it was the soap since we usually spread the soap along the backside. While I know that I can’t blame the company for not knowing since it’s one dog out of many based on the reviews on Amazon, I at least wanted to give a heads up that there may be something in the formula that can cause a very large reaction, especially in double coats that are difficult to see when a reaction is taking place. So you may just want to be aware when purchasing. Overall, the experience with the Pets Are Kids Too Customer Service team was timely, understanding, and responsive. While this product did not work out for us, I do appreciate an honest and responsive company making it right for their customers.

Smells nice and leaves a soft, pretty coat
Our little yorkie has been suffering from skin allergies for quite some time, and we've not been able to find anything to really manage it and give her some relief from the itchiness, but it usually doesn't seem too bad. Well, for the past week or so, she has been dealing with a flare up, and she insists that I scratch her back when it's bedtime, and keeps nudging at me whenever I stop. I found this and ordered it on a Tuesday and it was at my house on Wednesday. I bathed her after I got home from work. It smells very nice (she smells like a big sugar cookie, now) and it left he coat very soft and silky (she has long hair right now. Almost time to get back to the groomer). I don't know if it did anything for the itching yet, but she didn't have any allergic reactions to it, like some other users have experienced. Hopefully I can update on its effectiveness for itch relief in a week or so. If it works, I'll bump the value from four stars to five. Everything else about it, I'm pleased with so far. It's not thick, but not watery thin. Just slightly less viscous than people shampoo, I guess. Scent is very nice. Lathers well and stays in place. Rinses easily. Yep. I like it.

Oatmeal shampoo
Only got the shampoo. No conditioner. Not the best oatmeal shampoo.

Good overall
Pleasant to use, lathers well, leaving my dogs' fur soft clean and smelling nice, not overpowering. Some of my dogs itch a little and some don't. To be honest, if your dog is itchy, a once every two weeks shampoo isn't going to fix it. Identify the real issue to fix the itch. This shampoo works very well as a regular shampoo and which is what I use it for.
