Canyon Creek Mexican Style Falsa Yoga Blanket (Mixed)

I was wary of washing my 4 blankets and throwing them in the dryer based on some reviews. But I put them in the shortest gentle wash cycle with no detergent, then dried them on medium-low heat. Was planning to line dry them but it was too rainy that week. They generated a LOT of lint but did not fall apart. In fact the weave seems slightly tightened quite evenly - no puckering or anything. They lay very flat when folded and feel as soft as expected for its weave and with good loft. My least favorite thing is the laughably sparse fringework, but that does not affect the utility of the blankets. I chose the slightly cheaper option of letting them select the color and was pleasantly surprised that at least they matched (black and red, gray and red). Affordable with more-than-just-acceptable quality.

The people who are leaving bad reviews for these blankets are stupid. They have no idea what they're buying. These blankets are meant to be rough they're meant to have a loose weave. They get softer with time. I ordered a random color and I ended up getting blue with tan which is actually pretty nice. I have a few of these blankets now and this is probably the nicest one I have. the weave is relatively tight and it's pretty soft right out of the box before I even washed it. There's no pieces of acrylic sticking out which is a common problem with these blankets and it's relatively well made, there isn't even a lot of variation in the color, which usually you have Little Fibers of all different colors in these blankets and with this one you actually don't. Solid Baja blanket/ falsa blanket. I really like it. I can live with the fact that it's partially blue and that's not my favorite color because at least I didn't get yellow.

Look. This is a hard 5 star review. I love these blankets. I have them as seat covers. The hardest part of the review is that they initially shed fuzz like crazy. There is another review on here where the person shows a massive wod of lint from his dryer. At first I thought the person was exaggerating. Then i found out the hard way that it indeed was a fact that these blankets release fuzz-galore. I assume while looming fluff is tossed in to try to soften harsh yarns whilst making the blanket softer. This technique is done to in so many words cheat consumers into believeing the blanket the are purchusing is plush and soft but in reality its not so soft and plush. The end result after all the fluff is gone is still a beautiful blanket perfect for seat covers. It is not a plush throw but would work to keep you warm none the less. Like i said after broken in (released of fluff) the blankets are perfect for what I want them.

I was looking for a few Mexican style yoga blankets to use in my child care for napping, along with doing yoga. These are thin, but will be perfect for my needs. I did a color assortment and was sent some beautiful choices, everything I would have happily picked myself. This was a sale item so if they don't last forever, I won't be to upset. Glad I waited for this perfect find!

Let me just say I love this blanket. I was a little worried what color I would get since I got the one that the company chooses the color, but it is beautiful...brown and a really pretty color of blue. It had a bit of a plastic smell to it, but after I ran it through the dryer with a dryer sheet, the smell went away. It is really soft and warm too. I haven't ran it through the wash yet, but I don't think there would be a problem if you run it on delicate just to be safe. Great value for the money, I wish I would have bought more than one.

I ordered a random color and received a goldenrod/gray/black/white blanket. Not the color I would have chosen on my own, but it’s definitely grown on me. It pairs nicely with an older blue blanket from this same company that I inherited from a friend. You can see some difference between the two in tassel thread thickness and the side binding used, but nothing that bothers me. Also, the older one is softer after being washed a few times, but not by much. No weird smell, no shedding, weave is good and tight, same kinda rough but kinda soft texture I have come to know and expect from these blankets. Despite feeling somewhat thin, they do keep you warmer than you’d think. My only problem was that the tassel threads on either end were left untied, and some end threads were cut kind of short. I’ve never seen this before with one of these blankets. I think someone was having a hard day. Since I enjoy detail tasks, I didn’t mind going through and tying the threads together, myself. One last note - I have read some complaints about the random color thread spots that appear in these blankets. Honestly, I only notice them in certain colors, like gray, and they’re not very large or pronounced. I really like finding them, as they give the blanket more of a personality.

For the price, this blanket is great. The color is rich and it is tightly woven and has held together well. I use it on my 80 lb. dog's bed, so that's saying a lot! Things to be aware of are that it shrank considerably when I washed it. It is also not super thick or soft. That being said, I would buy another one. They are great for tossing in the yard to read a book or have a picnic on.

Nice looking blanket. Arrived days early, which was quite nice. A good size, about 6'6"x4', soft, a nice color light purple (mauve?), seems sturdy, and looked great. I have a cat that sheds and was looking for something to use as a throw that he could sit on that could be easily cleaned or replaced. I bought one the other day from another seller that was $6 more and I swear they are identical except for color (blue). For $10 and free shipping, you can't beat this.
