Can I get a replacement instruction booklet?

Definitely best for kids ages 5+ like the listing states but if you're willing to build with a smaller child it's definitely worth it.

Would this work for a classroom? Could 3-4 children build separate projects at the same time or would I need to buy multiple sets?

Yes, this set of building blocks would work best in a 1-3rd grade classroom. I recommend that an adult helper/EA supervise and guide the kids. Some kids will need help reading and following directions. I am not sure that separate projects can be built at the same time. Perhaps, pair 2 kids to build one together. Hands-on experience is valuable. I've had Kindergarteners successfully put 60-piece puzzles together at a center in small groups.
