Crystal-Clear 12MP Video and Reliable All-Around Home Security System!
Excellent Coverage and Crystal-Clear Quality! I couldn’t be happier with this REOLINK system! The 12MP resolution delivers incredibly sharp and detailed video even at night. The PoE setup made installation simple and clean, with just one cable per camera for both power and data. The eight cameras provide full coverage of my property, and the app makes it easy to view live feeds or playback recordings right from my phone. Motion detection is accurate and not overly sensitive, and I appreciate how customizable the alerts are. The system has been running smoothly without any lag or connection issues. For the quality, ease of use, and peace of mind it offers, this setup is worth every penny. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a reliable and professional-grade home security solution!

Nice system for the price.
This is the third camera system I've installed in my home in the last few months. The first one was a Lorex system that cost around $1200. I returned it because I could not get it to quit giving false motion alerts. Then I bought an 8 camera Reolink system. That system was a big improvement and I was happy with it. Then, browsing Amazon, I noticed they had this 12MP eight camera system for a few hundred more dollars. I was still within the return window on the first Reolink system so I returned it and purchased this system. It has been great so far. Very good image quality. The app is simple and easy to use. Setup was easy. I haven't had any interactions with tech support so I can't comment on that. Upgrading to this system also gave me lights on the cameras, audible alarms on each camera, and the ability to talk and listen over the cameras. Those are all nice features and work well. A few things I'd change... 1) The cameras don't lock on to the mounting plate. They just spin on and there's a slight click. If a dirt bag wanted to, they could just unscrew the camera and pull it off. That was one thing the Lorex did better, it had little set screws that locked the cameras to the plate so removing them would require a tool and at least a few minutes of time. 2) I think like most of these "cheaper" systems, the smart detection is kind of a gimmic. I've been trying for a month to get the settings where it only tells me if there is a person or a vehicle in the camera's view. It still occasionally alerts me to a wasp, a cat, or nothing that I can discern. It is an improvement over the Lorex technology, though. I'm hopeful one day I'll get the settings just right. 3) Not enough NVR storage capacity. I like to keep my system recording 24/7. I could get about 5 days of recordings before it started overwriting older stuff. That wasn't enough for me so I added a 6TB Seagate drive (not cheap!) in addition to the one that comes with the system. I think it can keep about 12 days of recordings stored now. If I ever get to a place where I 100% trust the accuracy of its motion triggers, I may switch it to record motion only. That would greatly increase the amount of days I could keep on the storage. Overall, I like this system and for the cost I consider it a good deal. I looked at a couple of U.S. company's commercial systems when I was shopping and they were $2500-$4k for the same amount of cameras and comparable NVRs. The way I look at it, I saved a ton of money and all it cost me was the weaker camera mounting system (which hopefully will never be a problem) and the occasional false motion alert. Thanks for reading! Hope that helps someone in their search.

Huge upgrade over Blink camera system
We have been using these for several months now, and we love them. This is a major upgrade from our Blink system. Blink cameras have a long delay (3-15 seconds or more) from when motion is detected to when it records an “event.” This meant that the recording often missed the actual “event,” rendering the recording useless. The Reolink cameras record continuously, record high quality video, and have great zoom features. It’s fairly accurate at capturing and labeling events (e.g, identifying humans vs animals vs other things like vehicles). The provided cables were not long enough and numerous enough for our home, but we were able to affordable purchase extra cable from the hardware store. Since these are wired cameras, it does require installation that included crawling through the attic, drilling holes for cable, etc. this has been well worth the effort, though. Once the cables have been run through the house, the setup was fairly easy. These have been a great value for the cost. So much so that we recently upgraded our doorbell to Reolink as well.

Nice security system.
Bought this system during Prime Days to replace an older Reolink system which did not have notification "push" capabilities. The 12MP cameras have very sharp/clear images, much better than what I had prior. Installation/Setup was a breeze, especially since I just reused the network cables I already had in place. Overall I'm very pleased with the system. Here's my observations after several days of use, and tinkering with settings: - After reading other reviews I was a little concerned about the dome cameras stability with regards to staying attached to the base. One video showed a slight tug on the network cable causing the camera to fall from the base. However, if you fully engage (twist) the camera to the base you can feel a slight resistance when it locks into place. I was not able to disengage the camera by pulling on the cable. - When setting Motion Detection Sensitivity the Motion Mark option from the NVR it does not copy to other cameras when selecting "Apply to Other Cameras". It must be done individually. - When setting any Motion Detection options from the PC app there is not an option to copy to other cameras. Only Surveillance settings can be copied. - Person detection appears to be working very well. Vehicle detection on the other hand could use some work. I'm still tinkering with settings, but it seems to be hit-n-miss on getting an alert. (More hit than miss though.) My cameras have slightly overlapping target areas. In one instance three different cameras had a view of my vehicle at various points, but only one triggered an event. At other times I might get a trigger from all three cameras. - I have Record settings configured to only record vehicle/person events. However, when I check out the event history I'm seeing all kinds of movement. Tree limbs moving, shadow movement on the ground, birds, animals, and vehicles/persons. At least I'm only getting push alerts for vehicles/persons, and that's what I really want. - It would be "really" nice if Reolink would add an option to the apps for suppressing push alerts for 1-6 hours. This way I could put alerts to sleep while we have constant expected activity for a relativity short period of time, and not have to worry about turning it back on.

Great camera system
Great system with easy set up. 12MP cameras are very clear. Love the way the light on the cameras light up at night when they detect motions. Speakers on the cameras are great. The doorbell camera has a wireless doorbell you can plug into a receptacle outlet which is awesome where you can place it anywhere in your home. Another example of a great product is their customer technical support. They are knowledgeable and you can actually talk to a live person and easy to get assistance. Love the product.

ABSOLUTELY NO!!! THEY REQUIRE YOUR PERSONAL EMAIL PASSWORD IN ORDER FOR YOUR SYSTEM TO WORK!
Below is the original review November 15, 2024 NO SD CARD SLOT! 1200D 16 Megapixel POE This is the first time I've installed Reo Link cameras. I did run into a few issues which I will address in a later or updated review. I spent hours prepping everything, making sure everything was ready to go. Then I decided it's time to install the SD cards just prior to installation. Can you imagine my frustration when I realized this particular unit does not have an SD card slot. Darn it! Well this set will be going back and I will select a different one that has the SD card slot. The reason I had selected this particular unit which is the 1200d camera is because it is a 16 megapixel the latest and greatest and I don't want to have to upgrade cameras anytime soon. Unfortunately, if it doesn't have an SD card on the camera. 🥺 It's just not worth it to me. The 1200D 16 megapixel cameras just use up more bandwidth on my Internet service and valuable space on the hard drive. Therefore, I'm only seeing drawbacks to the updated camera . This particular camera additional value for the extra money. Plus it isn't a bunch of my time figuring things out. It would be nice if they happened to note that this camera does not have an SD card storage slot available. For my money the 1200d 16 Megapixel cameras do not provide camera anything additional value for the extra expense and the increased price of the cameras Once I get the final set and get it all set up I'll write another review. In the picture you will see the microphone. It's not an SD card slot. In addition, these screws are already stripped on one side of each of the microphone. I'm going to guess it's probably not ideal to slip an SD card into the microphone 😉 Giving the benefit of the doubt, perhaps rolink realized that people would mistakenly think that this was an SD slot. And intentionally made it impossible to remove those little tiny screws. I tried to update this review and wasn't able to. I bought another system from ReoLink because I was hoping the other system would work better. Please check my other reviews I WROTE ANOTHER ONE AND IT IS REALLY TERRIBLE. DON'T BUY THIS SYSTEM! SOFTWARE IS HORRIBLE. ZERO CUSTOMER RESPONSE. ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY SHIFTY SALES PRACTICES. I CAN'T BELIEVE AMAZON EVEN SELLS THESE PRODUCTS! That being said, I did report it to Amazon and they said they will look into it.

Overall very nice, but need minor adjustments/additions
I’ve installed a number of HIK vision camera systems, including for my father and my sisters homes, and they seem to have probable at least twice a year that needs the tech to come out and fix it due to IP change or whatever, and they’re so much more expensive, so when it came to my own house I decided to shop around. I’ve only had these cameras installed for about 5 days now, but overall they seem very nice, especially for the price, compared to HIK and other brands. A big selling point was the audio record and talking, as the wife wanted Ring but I feel like those are a rip off if you want more than 3 cameras. Installation is just as easy as any other similar camera, just running a CAT5 or 6 which when it comes to running it nice and snaking it through walls, you can either do it or you need professional installation, it would be no different with another brand. The key CONS that I had with installation were 1) there is no set screw to not only lock the camera in place so wind and whatever else doesn’t knock it off it’s angle, but it also means that someone could just grab the camera, give it a quarter turn and unplug the cable and be gone with it. I was blown away at how that was overlooked by Reolink. The other thing, if you’re like me and need to run pipe on the outside of your house, which also means using standard weatherproof electrical boxes to mount the camera and hide the wires, then you’ll find that the mounting holes for the camera don’t like up with the screw threads for the electrical box. Another oversight that should be pretty basic, as I’m sure there’s a lot of people who need to use these round weatherproof boxes The app works great and you have full control through the app to set motion alarms, change settings for lights and alarms and detection, whatever you want. I like that you can turn off push notifications from individual cameras and even set it so it recognizes people from cars from animals, so you can turn off animal notifications if you live rural and don’t want to be woken up by a rabbit at 2 am. HOWEVER, the most annoying part and a super easy software update; the max amount of time you can set between push notifications is 2 minutes, and as far as I can tell, you can’t silence the notifications for a period of time. So if you’re out in your yard or patio and just enjoying yourself without any need of cameras telling you that someone’s at your house or not, you’re still gonna get a notification every 2 minutes until it stops detecting motion. And that’s every two minutes from each camera, so if you have 3 cameras detecting motion from say a party, then every 2 minutes, you’re gonna get 3 notifications saying camera 1, camera 2, camera 3 detected motion. There’s needs to be an easy select button that mutes notifications for a selected amount of time, then automatically turns it back on. Like if you could acknowledge it and say mute for 2, 3, 6, or 8 hours because you don’t need to know that there’s motion when you’re the motion. That’s my soapbox. Overall they are very nice, the spotlights are surprisingly bright AF which is nice. The alarm is loud if you want it but I turned them off cause I felt they would be annoying. Image quality is super clear, the app is very user friendly, but they need to make some easy adjustments

Really good deal for price
I’m a commercial camera installer and these are pretty difficult to beat. They won’t do some of the things high end cameras like Axis can, but you aren’t paying thousands of dollars for one camera like you would with Axis. They’re great for your home or small business. I purchased this kit and have had no issues. The audio is good. The IR’s are good. The app is decent. And the configuration is fast and simple. It’s all around a good package for the price.

Good product. Can’t wait for ReoLink to update their iOS user experience. The product itself is good and easy to setup.

Highly recommend
I’m really happy with my Reolink 12MP camera. The build quality is awesome—feels super solid and well-made. The app works smoothly, and the color night vision looks great, way better than I expected. I’ve had zero problems so far. Definitely worth the buy if you want a reliable and high-quality security camera.

Great Cameras
Getting sensitivities and notifications right takes some time and amending (based on property/area being covered) but being over sensitive is better than not being sensitive enough. This is our 3rd set of cameras over the last 15yrs (and 2 homes) and this is the best product we've had thus far.

Very easy setup, plug and play.
Very fast shipping. Amazon great as usual. The product: As advertised. Packaging is excellent. The product is very easy to setup, very much plug and play. The app works excellent, main reason I chose Reolink over Lorex. Overall, very happy with this purchase. However it would be nice if the mounting boxes were included to house the wiring.
