I purchased these for a person that has trouble with normal weight utensils. I did not want to get the ones that have the big round handles. I really wanted something that would look like what the rest of the family used. These look like the normal weight utensils, and do not bring attention to the fact they are not. I bought the least expensive of the choices on a trial basis but have decided not to replace these since they look fine and are holding up well. I do wash by hand after each meal., PLEASE NOTE> The soup spoon/tablespoon is HUGE and one of the forks is as well. However, there is a spoon and fork that are normal size, and those are the ones we use. A very nice steak knife is included with this set..

this silver wear set is not any heavier or wider than my normal cutlery.

love the size of the spoons, made for small mouths, the only bad comment is the weight needs to be a little heavier, they are really nice silverware, my tremors are really bad so the weight is not quite right, but I will still use them, I recommend them.

Very helpful for my brother who shakes and was unable to eat with confidence and now due to these utensils he is able to eat without having tossed his food.

Bought for Parkinson patient, they come in two different sizes . The large are quite large in size so only used smaller ones, easy to hold and look like regular utensils. Slightly heavier but not by a lot

I would not recommend you not buy this item. The weight doesn't seem much different from my usual flatware and certainly does not reduce my tremor at all. The worst thing about this set is the very long stems which just augment the up and down motion of the flatware. Very strange design for someone who has hand tremors. And it seems there is no way to return this item as I have phoned the number listed a half a dozen times and it just doesn't go through, there is simply silence on the other end.

If I could give zero stars I would. These items are NOT weighted at all. My everyday cutlery is heavier than these items. Do not waste your money. You will receive a cheap, light cutlery set and when you request a refund, the return shipping will cost what you paid in the first place. You'll end up out of pocket. Please don't make the same mistake I did. Do not buy these.
