Mini 6V to 12V Diaphragm Pump

Great little motor. Worked great on my project.

I use this to pump out my hydroponic deep water system. Its quite and works a lot quicker than just gravity. It took me all afternoon before now its less than an hour.

This pump worked PERFECTLY right out of the box. I am using it with an arduino for a bit of DIY watering system. I've purchased other pumps in the past that did the work but seemed to struggle. This pump has plenty of push, I have 3/8"OD piping connected to a small 1/4"OD tube running to a pitcher of water. It transfers the water with ease and is actually extremely quiet! I purchased 2 for prototyping and experimenting with them, but they have me sold. I'll be ordering more extremely soon. From other reviews i've seen, they say it doesn't self prime. Mine had no issue with priming whatsoever. I left plenty of air in the tubing while initially connecting it and it deals with it with ease.

Gikfun Mini DC 6V-12V R385 Water-Cooled Diaphragm Pump Review I tested this small diaphragm pump in a few light-duty applications, including a DIY water circulation setup and a small cooling project. Overall, it performs reasonably well for its size and price point, but it’s important to understand its limitations before purchasing. Performance & Build Quality: The pump is compact and lightweight, making it easy to integrate into small projects or tight spaces. The motor runs smoothly and produces a steady flow when supplied with the correct voltage. It appears decently constructed for hobby or experimental use, though it doesn’t feel like an industrial-grade unit. Flow & Operation: At 12V, the pump delivers noticeably better flow and pressure compared to lower voltages. It primes fairly quickly and maintains consistent operation once running. Noise levels are moderate—noticeable but not excessive for a small motor pump. Cooling Feature: The water-cooled motor design is a nice addition and helps prevent overheating during longer run times. That said, I would still recommend monitoring temperatures if running continuously for extended periods. Installation & Use: Installation is straightforward if you’re comfortable working with low-voltage DC power supplies. The inlet and outlet connections fit standard small tubing, but securing them properly is important to prevent leaks. Pros: ✔ Compact and lightweight ✔ Decent flow performance at 12V ✔ Water-cooled motor helps with extended operation ✔ Good option for DIY, hobby, or small circulation projects Cons: ✘ Not designed for high-pressure or heavy-duty use ✘ Wiring is basic and may need reinforcement for long-term reliability ✘ Some vibration and operational noise Overall: This pump is a solid choice for hobbyists, small cooling loops, or experimental fluid transfer setups. It’s not meant for demanding or mission-critical applications, but it performs well within its intended scope. If you need a small, affordable DC diaphragm pump for light use, this one is worth considering.

Very good little pump, works like it should

Nice little pump. Performs as stated. Works great with carbonated beverages which is just what I needed as I was asked to make an existing punch fountain into a champagne fountain and the original pump that came with the fountain would not work with any type of carbonated beverage.

I got this pump to run on my 3d printer that I converted to water cooling. It is extremely quiet. I have to look at the vent on the side to see the stator inside spinning to make sure it is running. I’ve had it run on as little as 3v without stalling. Self-primes so you don’t need to worry as much about an air pocket stopping it from working like some other designs. While it can also pump air, it makes a horrid whistling sound. There are other pumps that work better for air. May 10, 2019 update. So after a few months of using these pumps ive learned that they are not rated for 12v. Most of the time i had them run at 5v and only going to higher voltages for short times to fill my water cooling loops and deal with air pockets. Last night both of my pumps started smoking anytime they got over 6v of power.

Works great. Easy to wire and do whatever with. Pump works very well. I used it to make a tiny AC.

Replaced my existing water dispenser pump with this. Its silent and solid pumping! Thanks value for money
