Works great. Easy to work with. Not messy like mixing plaster. It shrinks so remember to use multiple layers. Once cured it is very durable. Use a proper respirator for sanding. No noticeable odor. Amazon had the best price!

Pink turns white! It’s just so easy. I am a huge fan of DAP for big or little tasks. It washes off hands easily and cleans up easily too.

I purchased this because it turns white when it’s dry. No guessing about if it’s ready. Easy to use, I add a smidge of water to make it easier to spread since it’s rather thick.

So, eons ago when I lived with my parents, my dad had a large tub of this and showed me how to use it and I was impressed with how easily it spread. At that time it did not have the fade from pink. Though the years, after having moved out and rented several apartments, I have picked up these 1/2 pints here and there and they have never failed me when it came to filling holes or dents. It spreads easily, the pink fade to white is really useful, and has a smooth finish before sanding. Recently there have been a few dings that have showed up in the apartment and not wanting to pay a large amount to the rental company, I ordered this spackle and it works beautifully, as always. This is my go-to spackle when it comes to getting my deposit back with dings and dents in drywall.
