Small but holds a LOT, Very QUIET, worth every penny
I didn't want to be one of those people who gave something a raving review as soon as they took it out of the box and never plugged it in. I wanted to give it a serious try before I gave a review, so I could give an honest review. So far its actually four and a half stars. Ill get to the half star in a minuet As I'm typing this, I'm currently on my fifth batch of drying. Apples, Mangos, Bananas, watermelon, and Tomatoes. All in my kitchen. Which brings up my next subject. This dehydrator is very quiet. The noise is equivalent to a small fan. The 10 trays hold a LOT. I dried 16 large sliced apples in the last batch. First time I used all ten trays. The temperature and time setting is a HUGE plus. Set it and forget it. Obviously you do want to check from time to time, but for a 12 hour dry, I can do other things and not worry about my dehydrator shutting off. The ONLY down side, the half star, is you only get ONE silicone tray. Ok, No big deal, as most other companies do the same. Ill just order more from Cosori. Nope. Cant get them. I called the company. I was told if the one breaks, they could replace it, but don't sell the silicone trays or mats. So I had to order from another company. But all said, I'm extremely pleased with this dehydrator. and would definitely recommend it, which i already have to a couple of friends.

Love it
This thing is awesome. I came from using a cheap round plastic dehydrator (you know the one) and there is no comparison. Pros: > HUGE capacity > Easy, intuitive controls allow you to dry exactly how you want > Not too loud > Very even drying > Good value for the money Cons: If there is a con, it's that the dehydrator is heavy and awkward to move around. That's to be expected, though. Overall, this is a great machine that I wish I would have bought years ago. I've used it to make jerky and meat sticks, dry pineapple, sweet potatoes and herbs. My tomato plants have been very productive this year, so I just finished a big batch of "sun dried" tomatoes.

First impression isn't great...
Edit: Leaving the original review for integrity. Reached out to the company. They responded the following week, as I believe I initially reached out to them on a Friday. I sent them a short video of the issue, as seems to be common practice these days. About a week later, a replacement unit was on my porch. As I unboxed it, I became even more convinced that the first one was a return. There was more going on with the first one than I realized after seeing the difference in the second one. The replacement was well packaged, looks great and includes all of the documentation. Overall, I would say this has been an excellent experience. I do believe there was a mixup with the original unit. It happens. I could just as easily have the same experience at Best Buy. The company responded quickly and, in my opinion, appropriately. I'm currently ruining bacon. So far, I recommend this machine. It does appear to be a new model, though, so extra mesh pads and silicon mats for it don't seem to exist. I picked up some third-party and they're way too small. That's the only downside. As long as this one holds up, I'm very happy with the purchase. I'm glad I didn't go with the six rack. I recommend you don't. Once things are dehydrated, you really do lose a LOT of volume. Original Review: This thing came with no paperwork. There was no warranty information, no recipe book, no instructions. All of these things are available on the website, so no big deal I guess. However, when I opened the box, it seemed as though something had been dripped on the top of it. I've not yet attempted to clean it. Additionally, all of the trays were just loose inside the machine. I ran it through the obligatory first cycle and it seems to be working fine. I'll give it a more thorough look tomorrow, but I'm not convinced that this wasn't open-box or a return. I'll be putting it through its paces during the return period. If everything holds up, I'll update the rating. So far, I'm not super thrilled. EDIT 1: More convinced that this thing was a return. There appears to be a barely visible indentation in one of the top corners. That's not the concerning bit, however. The problem is that the racks (which all measure the same size) only fit in the top four slots. Lower than that they start falling out. They only go in one way, since they're wider than they are deep. I measured the interior width at the door, which appears to be accurate. As I'm looking at it from above, it appears that the sides are bowed out slightly. So the racks will not stay in place. Dropping to a one star, since 60% of the internal space is unusable. Will edit again after contacting the company.

This dehydrator is our favorite and a weekly staple.
We use this on a weekly basis for many things, but the most common is bananas and it does a super great job. It’s very easy to program. It’s relatively quiet and fits grade under our countertop. We also use it for jerky, which is a family favorite. The temperature control and heat distribution on all racks is perfect and this works much better than other dehydrators we’ve had. Worth the expense.

Seems like very good quality.
Seems like an excellent dehydrator! It’s almost too big for me, but I had bought a 10” 6 tray one previously and wanted bigger for the crops that come in spurts. Mine is 12 trays now I believe at 14” trays I think. My sister got the 6 tray at 12” and that might have been big enough in general. It took about 8 hours to make fruit strips. 8-10 hours to make ‘sun dried’ tomatoes I’ve kept it in the garage because it’s kinda big to move around and won’t heat up the house that way. The trays are very durable! I bought extra silicone trays to place on these trays for fruit leather.

Excellent capacity and extremely even drying — a few design details could be better
I've owned this COSORI for about three months and have run roughly a dozen batches through it so far. I've used it for beef jerky, pineapple, bananas, apples, peaches, nectarines, strawberries, and strawberry fruit leather. My previous dehydrator was an older round plastic model, so this has been a substantial upgrade in both capacity and overall performance. Drying performance is easily the strongest point. I've noticed essentially no difference in drying from one area of the cabinet to another. Food on the upper and lower trays, as well as pieces toward the front and back, has finished remarkably consistently. I've never needed to rotate or rearrange the trays during a batch. I haven't independently verified the temperature with a calibrated thermometer, so I can't comment on absolute temperature accuracy. What I can say is that it heats up quickly and appears to maintain its set temperature very consistently, even when heavily loaded. Capacity is excellent. My largest jerky batch so far started with 12 pounds of beef, sliced approximately 1/4" thick. With the pieces fairly tightly spaced but not overlapping, that occupied only 7 of the 10 trays. Based on that, I think somewhere around 15 pounds of similarly sliced meat would be realistic under the right conditions. Even if the actual drying time isn't dramatically shorter than a smaller dehydrator, the amount of food that can be processed in a single batch makes it drastically faster for me overall. It's also surprisingly quiet for its size. The fan produces very little objectionable air or mechanical noise compared with my old dehydrator. I've had no hesitation leaving it running overnight. The unit I received also carries an ETL Listed mark on the rear nameplate, which I appreciate on a 1000-watt appliance that's commonly operated unattended for many hours. The controls are simple, responsive, and predictable. Temperature can be adjusted in 1-degree increments and the timer in 30-minute increments. The display is bright, high-contrast, and very easy to read. The downside is that the display remains illuminated indefinitely when the machine isn't running; the only way I've found to completely turn it off is to unplug the dehydrator. I'd much rather have the display shut off after a period of inactivity. Construction is generally good. The sheet metal is somewhat thinner than I would prefer, but the machine does not feel cheap or flimsy. The door is held closed by strong magnets, the hinges have remained tight, and there are no annoying rattles or vibrations. The stainless-steel trays are one of my favorite features. They've tolerated long soaking and dishwasher cleaning without staining or showing any rust, and being able to put them in the dishwasher significantly reduces cleanup time compared with my old plastic trays. There is also a removable plastic drip tray at the bottom of the cabinet, which makes cleaning up after jerky and sticky foods considerably easier. There are a few design details I think COSORI could improve. The tray tracks aren't as deep as I'd like, so I find myself being more careful than should be necessary when sliding loaded trays in and out to make sure they stay on the rails. The trays also aren't perfectly square—they have to be inserted in the correct orientation. The difference isn't immediately obvious when looking at them, so occasionally you'll try inserting one only to realize it's turned the wrong way. Some of the wire ends around the edges of the trays are also more exposed than I'd prefer. They can catch on things, particularly during washing or handling. It hasn't affected their performance, but the edge finishing could be better. My other criticism is the lack of a screen or filter over the air intake. The openings are large enough that dust, hair, or small insects could potentially be drawn into the machine. Considering how long a dehydrator may run and that it is moving air continuously across exposed food, I'd like to see some type of removable, washable intake screen. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this dehydrator. Its few shortcomings are primarily design refinements rather than problems with its core function. The drying uniformity, large usable capacity, quiet operation, stainless trays, and easy cleanup have made it a substantial improvement over my previous dehydrator. I'd buy it again without hesitation. I'm giving it 4 stars rather than 5 because I reserve 5 stars for products that leave me with very little I would meaningfully change. This is an excellent dehydrator, but deeper tray rails, truly square trays, better-finished tray edges, an automatic display shutoff, and a screened air intake would make an already very good machine considerably better.

No complaints.
All steel no plastic to get toxins from. Have made several batches of jerky, dried fruit, fruit learher and summer saugsae and so far works much better then the other 3 I have owned over the last 40 years.

Dont bother go commercial grade
I have run several batches through this to make sure my findings were correct (using a professional meter and temp probe) and I have found what I consider to be 4 MAJOR issues with the unit. #1 the unit does not and has never reached 165 degrees at the probe which is critical to ensuring meat is properly processed. In fact I do not recall seeing anything in the units directions for use that instructs users to heat the meat prior to dehydrating as suggested by the USDA. So you may want to followup on this so you know you are preserving safely. #2 the unit does not maintain a constant temperature, in fact my units temperature drops by 15 degrees from set temp before heating back up. Example, when set at 140f the temp will go from 140 down to 125 and then back up to 140 and so on. Successful dehydrating requires air flow and a constant temp. #3 the display temp on my unit is off by at least 3 degrees of actual internal temp. #4 the door is poorly sealed which allows much of the internal heat to escape making the unit in my opinion inefficient and leads to longer dry times. Failing to achieve the desired temps and poor door sealing (understand some air flow is required) makes this unit in my opinion inefficient. If the return windows hadnt expired I would have sent this back however so as not to have wasted my money I will use a conventional oven to cook the meat to the proper temp as recommended by the USDA before transferring to the dehydrator to finish off the process. Results are not what I had expected and quite disappointed in this purchase but I will limp along for now and buy an actual commercial dehydrator after I do my homework.
