Measures temperature fast from a distance
Arrived in 1 day and it works great. Connected to Arduino Mega 2560 clone via SCL/SDA pins (D21/D20) and 3V3 & GND pins. Used Ardafruit MLX90614 library. Measures temperature very fast. Any changes in the temperature registers immediately. Device is well built and pins are well labeled making it easy to solder wires. Came with a 4-pin header, but I connected the wires directly to the holes on the PCB. Did not check the level of accuracy, but when objects are within the 5 degree field of view (FoV) the temperature is reflected on the monitor. If the object is narrow (like the soldering iron), you have to get close to it to make sure the object covers the entire FoV. That is how it is supposed to work. Overall, great product. Highly recommend.

extremely fragile
this is the 2nd one I purchase, it seems to break extremely quickly and very noise prone .. there are some libraries available for programing on Arduino But if using it on a machine not recommended .
