CGE Codenames: Duet Board Game (2nd Edition)

Great game, family favorite.

My husband and I love this game! If you have anyone competitive in your life that makes it challenging for you to play games against, THIS is the game for you/them. You get to play as a team against the game! It's unique and requires a decent amount of strategy. The instructions aren't hard to understand, but it's definitely easier read them as you start to play versus trying to read through them before starting. Each round can vary in time, but you can get through a round in 10-15 minutes if you're really on a roll and vibing haha!

My husband and I got this to play together! We play board games with our friends whenever we all get a chance but with kids its hard to get enough people together. So games for 2 people that arent super boring are amazing. We had played the original Codenames with our friends before and were very excited to see there is a duet version!! Easy to learn to play, but challenging enough to be interesting and fun.

Great but not as fun as when you have 4+ people for the regular version

Game component quality on this is quite good, and the "feel" of the game is definitely on brand with the original Code Names game. There is enough similarity to the original in the game design, that the new elements for the Code Names Duet version don't feel overwhelming. It definitely feels like another version and not a completely different game. Another bonus is that it comes with the board game organizer in the box, making component storage and game startup much simpler for those who just want to open up the box and play. Overall, I am quite happy with the quality and value of this product.

Loved the original. My boyfriend and I got this to play when we want a two player game, and we love it. If you love the original and want something for just 2 people to play, highly recommend. You work together to win in this one instead of against each other.

we struggle to play games for 3 people and this was perfect. easy and fun to learn

If you like the other version of Codenames then this one is fun for just two people! The words are a lot more challenging to connect which is fresh after playing the other version so many times. The directions were a little confusing but we just played like we know how and it works and is fun!!

We are big fans of the original CodeNames and were excited to try Duet. The components were well made and the game was easy to set up. However, the cooperative format wasn’t as enjoyable for our group. Duet requires players to work together rather than compete, which changes the feel of the game significantly. We found the strategy more complex and the gameplay less intuitive than the original. Fans of cooperative games may enjoy it, but our group preferred the competitive nature of regular CodeNames.

Codenames Duett ist spannend, clever und macht auch nach mehreren Runden noch Spaß. Die kooperative Variante funktioniert hervorragend und erfordert gutes Zusammenspiel und Kommunikation. Die Regeln sind schnell erklärt, aber das Spiel bleibt herausfordernd. Perfekt für Spieleabende zu zweit – klare Empfehlung!
