Hello, can anyone confirm the measurements of this backpack?..it looks way bigger than 17x12x8 and I am planning to use it as a personal item.

Hello, I just used this item last week as my personal item on two different flights and had little to no issue. I also had this bag stuffed to the brim and was able to fit it under the seat in front of me on a United flight (which had less storage space than my Alaskan flight). I had doubts about it being the size advertised too, but ran the risk anyway 😅 You should be able to fit it as a personal item no problem.

will this backpack fit on a plus person?

If you mean plus size person. Yes it will. My Husband and myself are larger and wore this book bag with no issues. The straps are thick and Adjustable

If you put a pair of shoes in the shoe slot, does it take up room in the other area where you can pack clothes?

Yes it will. Don’t put any bulky shoes in. I put a pair of slides.

How does the charging port work?

Use your portable power bank place it on the inside the bag there is a wired port in a lil zipper pocket connect it there and on the outside of the bag connect your charger USB only.. C type won’t work
