This is a great timer! It took me a while to get used to using it because there are so many settings/options! But that's also the pros about it! You have a lot of preprogrammed options as well as programmable options. I did think it was going to be bigger, but the LED screen makes it really visible from afar.

EDIT: I'm so thrilled, I found a way to have only the beep, and omit the crazy creepy voice!!!! I thought my clients could just watch their own timer, and not have the sound, but after getting them conditioned for so long to the beep on the GymBoss, some of them still wanted the beep. FYI - Turning down / off the volume is not the same setting as omitting the voice. So I have 3... getting ready to order #4. Love this timer. Original Review: I own a gym & am a personal trainer. I’ve used GymBoss timers for 14 years; however in beginning to go to semi-private training, where I’m training 3 clients at the same time, I needed silent timers & ones they could easily see. For me, being portable, having a rechargeable battery, having the option for custom intervals, being able to set program it on the unit & not with a remote control, and to be able to turn off the sound were all dealbreakers!!! This timer checked off all those things for me!! I just got two programmed & will program the 3rd one tomorrow. I’m extremely happy with these timers!!! NOTE: For all the naysayers who are commenting that these are very difficult to program…. You’re wrong!!! I’m 55 & had no trouble at all. All you have to do is follow the instructions. If anyone has programmed a GymBoss you can definitely program this unit.

I am glad I bought this for HIIT workouts in our home gym, but I had to read instructions several times to set it properly for my needs. DO NOT throw out the manual because you will need to reread it every time you add a program because the clock isn’t necessarily user-friendly. It’s the perfect size for a home gym, but you might want a bigger one if you are an instructor in a larger gym. I love the teal color and the digital numbers are easy to read. Works great! I would give it five stars if setting programs was easier and more intuitive. Buy or Bye: Buy!

This is sort of hard to program at first, but if you read the manual and follow the instructions it works. After doing it once you'll get the hang of it. Having done it 2-3 times now I can change settings really quickly. The good news is it has a ton of spaces to store your settings, so you won't have to constantly reprogram it. I charged it once and used it for three hours and it says it has 90% battery life left. I like the bright numbers, I wish the sounds were louder, I wish the magnet was a little stronger, but all in all I like the product and am happy I bought it.

This timer is the most frustrating thing. First off things I like about it. 1. It's magnetic so that's pretty cool. 2. The display is nice. 3. It's compact. After that it's all downhill. 1. Setting the time/date was insanely frustrating to figure out. 2.Setting up your own timers is a freaking nightmare. Even now that I feel like I've got it down, it still messes up. I literally spend 10 minutes trying to get the timer to do what I need. 3.Most of the time after thinking I've set the timer I made up I end up accidently deleting it. And God forbid you need to adjust 1 round, you end having to cycle all the way back through all your rounds to get to the one you wanted to adjust. And trust me, you will have to do this. 4. Getting a timer to start doesn't use the "play" button like you think it would so you end up deleting your timer and having to reset the whole thing. You have to do a weird hold down of the W button which makes no sense. 5. The battery life is very mid. Sometimes I get a few days sometimes a day. 6. The voice is annoying and I can't get it to stop. 7. The instructions are incredibly difficult to understand. For the price I didn't expect a whole lot but wish I had never bought this. If I could give this less stars I would.

This thing is awesome. It's magnetic and a bright/clear screen. Programming/configuring is surprisingly intuitive and there's more features than I expected, but it's not loaded with nonsense. It's really pretty easy to configure. It has preset workout times, but it also has 9 empty slots for you to program/save yourself. I just programmed a basic 30 round - 45 sec work/15sec rest setting so I can do stretches for back pain. This timer helps me make sure I do the full time. I can see it being useful for classes or whatever.

I use it as a clock, but my husband utilizes the timer. It is functional and the battery life is pretty good too. I like that it is magnetic. The only negative is, I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong but it keeps turning off after s few minutes and I have to keep turning it back on. After a few times it stays on until I’m done.

This workout timer seemed quite good when I first received it. As many have pointed out the ease of set up is not great. It is not at all intuitive, and you will definitely need to read the instructions in order to set the timers. And if you want to change the timer settings- you will need to re-read the instructions again as they are not at all intuitive or logical. My main issue is however the durability. The first few weeks it worked as expected, then the battery would die within 2 days, and I had to basically recharge it after every workout. After 2 months it would not even turn on again, even when plugged in and charging the timer will not turn on. So completely useless and a waste of money, in the garbage it goes. Do not buy.
