I don't want to rip it off in the middle of the night
Hear me out. For context, I have fine-medium hair that goes down to my waist. I've tried numerous variations of bonnets, caps, wraps, etc. Every time, I had high hopes; yet every last one of those products made me want to rip it off my head in the middle of the night because I found it uncomfortable or because it had already slipped halfway off. After having this product for over a month, I'm giving it five stars for the following reasons: - it stays put all night - it is comfortable (coming from someone who is at times unreasonably picky about the things that touch my body) - it does the job and my hair is smooth and retains its styling in the morning It does have a learning curve. Saying it louder for the people in the back: IT DOES HAVE A LEARNING CURVE! Practice it 5-6 times before you give up. It is well worth it. I would purchase this again and I would recommend it to a friend.

I don’t use heat on my hair
I wanna start off by saying this product is advertised for use after getting a blowout to sleep in. I don’t get blowouts and I don’t use heat on my hair, and I still get benefit from this product. I don’t do my bun so high on my head though because I find it’s inconvenient and annoying. I do it more lower and it helps get more hair into the twirl as well. I have layered hair and it’s right above my waist. I definitely don’t recommend if you have shorter hair I feel like you’d barely be able to wrap your hair around. Anyways, after using this at night I wake up with less frizzy hair that has that “blowout” look but it’s completely heatless for me. I also have beach wavy natural hair, and using this at night makes me wake up with a natural blowout it’s so pretty. This product also does a good job at getting the layered hair into place I think it’s since there’s like two scrunchies on the side and my hair has a ton of layers.

I wanted this to work so well!!
I love the packaging and the idea of this, but it falls a bit short. I have long hair with chin length bangs. Every time I use this it makes my bangs super flat or misshapen. It works well for keeping my hair up at night after a blow out but it does not help to add the volume that I see in the videos online. Even with volumizing product. I want to love it but I just like it, especially because it's pricing for fabric and foam.

Why is this so difficult?!
So after fiddling with it for over an hour, I finally got it to work. I think. Review first then my own instructions! Honestly for the price of $30 this is just not worth it. I’m a gal on a budget and this was expensive for me! The fact that I spent almost an HOUR trying to figure it out is ridiculous! These people need better videos. Of which there are at least 3, and all of them say almost word for word the exact same thing. Seriously if you’re questioning buying this ask yourself the following: -is my hair long enough? (My hair is past arm pits and only wrapped around a couple times) -will I want to cry as my hard fought for waves/curls/blowout are destroyed trying to figure this product out? -is my hair delicate/dry and prone to breakage? (This product relies on tension which WILL snap hair eventually via traction alopecia. Ask JoJo Siwa) If you said yes, then please baby your hair. You are better off with other less expensive methods. Braid your hair again! Redo those pin curls under that bonnet! Rock that pineapple! Do an updo if it’s beyond saving! Since im out $30 I’m going to attempt to explain how to do it in a more detailed way than all of the multiple YouTube videos I’ve watched (yes there are at least 3 videos on how to use this. Let that tell you how much people struggle with this) because I’m bitter about having bought this while trying to grow my hair out (should’ve known better because this sucker is uncomfortable) First, I’m going to label the product. There are two parts of this giant contraption that form an ‘O’ shape. There’s the crimped part which I will call the scrunchie (videos call it the arch for some reason). Step 1: gather hair into a high pony tail. Make sure it’s tight enough to hold but not enough to pull on your scalp. You will not be able to loosen after it’s finished. Hold pony with your hand and slide the entire contraption around your pony while still holding the pony. Contraption should be around the pony tail. The scrunchie should be facing towards your forehead while the satin part is facing behind you. Step 2:wrap your ponytail around the scrunchie part (arch) like you would if you were doing bathrobe or headband curls. Make sure the ends are wrapped best as you can to get the curl at the tips. Step 3: AKA OH GOD WHY AM I HAVING SO MUCH TROUBLE ARRRRRGGGHHHHHH For this step gently hold the scrunchie with your hair wrapped around it against your head. While doing this, take the satin petal-y parts in your free hand. Twist the satin petal part so that the contraption forms an ‘8’ shape instead of an ‘O’, just like you would tighten a hair tie, however make sure that you bring the petal side up and over the scrunchie side. What you’re left with is an (O) shape. The parentheses being the satin side and the O being the scrunchie with wrapped hair. I’m still not 100% on how the satin side should be placed, but I think it’s meant to block your hair from frizzing if you roll around while sleeping. Unfortunately I think it depends on what type of sleeper you are. None of the videos or the card in the packaging adequately describe the placement for me. So I guess whatever. Hope this helps someone.

Works but take practice
So I got sucked into buying this after watching a YouTube video. I have been doing a blowout and really wanted to maintain it. I normally ponytail then bun my hair with scrunchies but would always get kinks in it, requiring me to smooth them out. For reference I have really thick long Asian hair. I originally found this difficult to put in. The thickness of my hair made it hard to wrap around well. I ended up seeing a video where the girl split her hair in two sections to wrap in opposite directions In order for the wave to go the way she wanted, and ultimately that worked really well for me. It was still a struggle to practice and get it in properly, but the results were worth it. I have put this in my hair when it's straight and woken up with voluminous soft waves and body. I do need to do a little touch up on frizz but considering I just slept with this in, pretty damn good results.

Think frizzy hair savior!
This has changed my morning routine, and I LOVE it, but it probably won't work for everyone. It depends on the type of hair you have. I have very frizzy, thick wavy hair, and I use this every night. I used to have to use heat on my hair every morning. I would wake up with a bird's nest but with the sleepy tie, and I don't need to use any heat unless I want a more defined curl or sleek straight hair for me. I wanted something that would help reduce the frizz in my hair, so I didn't need to use any hot tools. I could see this not working for someone with thin hair.

Somehow worse than sleeping with loose hair
I have waist length medium thickness straight hair. I washed and did a regular blow out before using. The product is easy enough to learn to use and comfortable to sleep in. It also stays in overnight. However my hair had the classic pony tail bump in the middle when I woken up and it a few ends where crimped oddly, so I had to touch up with a flat iron anyways. Basically the same and sleeping with loose hair, the only benefit being my hair was not tangled.

Postpartum life saver
I am 3 weeks postpartum and I think I’ve used this every single day since I had my baby. I don’t remember when I last washed and styled my hair, and using the sleepy tie helps maintain my blowout. Even when I’m having night sweats every single night. It keeps me cool at night and makes me look put together during the day.

Waste it time and money
Don’t waste your money it doesn’t work. Also the seller is not responsible. It kept getting delayed but still I was hopeful since I expected it to work. Doesn't do what it’s advertised for.

Very handy and works well
I was pleasantly surprised that it works very well on my long and thick hair. No need to curl my hair each morning…

Quality is great, but…
I’m sure it works well for a lot of women with long hair, my hair is medium length and naturally curly (and frizzy), it didn’t work for me overnight, as it came off my hair in an hour.
