The unit works great and very handy to with the pushbutton ignitor. The longer hose allows me to keep the gas tank vertical while I navigate the torch into odd angles to reach the target. Highly recommend. It is important, as mentioned in the instructions, to keep the air flow high to cool the torch tip!

Have only run it on Mapp gas, makes lots of heat! Has a warning that too low fuel flow will result in torch overheating. It’s true, tip gets red hot-doesn’t seem to bother it though.Having recently purchased a device that claims to be a heating device, it was useless, looked impressive, but useless.This unit works great! With remote tank, you can get into tight places w/o worrying about tank position. Lighter works great too!

Even though I haven't used this torch assembly yet, I believe it's well built and should last for years to come. The only negative I can see is the length of the supply hose. My old torch had a hose significantly longer than this product's hose, i.e, 5 feet. I measured this product's hose at 3'-7", which is less than the advertised spec of 3.9'. I still think it will work fine for me.

I was expecting a nice tight flame with a small blue tip interior (the hottest part), instead I got a long flame with various interior blue tip shapes (pending gas flow). It will however do the job as intended.

I like the way I am able do what l intended to do something different with reconstitute my silver scraps, into a piece that I can work with. Without using up all of my butane. Thank so much. I was intending to buy a torch and propane earlier. And now I have it. Look forward to using it. Thanks again

After 3rd or 4th use it started getting increasingly difficult to light. I still can, but it may take 3 rounds of multiple tries, then turning it off because I'm filling the room with gas while I'm clicking the starter. But I do get it lit eventually. The fact it has a handle is great, there's some other brands I tried that's nothing but brass and I've burned myself turning it off. No problems like that with this. Wish it lit sooner more reliably, but honestly I'm just glad it lights, cuz other than that it's a good torch except for the fact that one day the on/off valve got stuck...now I didn't twist it with all my might, just normal....that was 2years ago and no vice, no nothing can open it, it's just a worthless decoration now.

I use this for sand casting silver, and it can melt 3oz easy to fluidic state in about 1-2mins. The two dial system is great for safety and super easy to use. Parts are solid and the nozzle holds up well to intense heat.

Works well and good quality for the price. Plus this one has a brass valve and is cheaper than it’s competitors with plastic valves!

This torch is awesome. Having a flex hose is everything, very light, easy to get into tight spaces. Holding a bottle mounted torch is cumbersome, awkward, and heavy. Torch is super light, and igniter works excellent. Only draw back is coming up with ways to keep gas cylinder upright if you are unable to use the supplied clip for a waist belt, such as when laying down.
