I've had three different brand's of these and this is the best. It will accept different brands of blades and that is the best feature of all. Only drawback is it's corded.

I used the tool to cut odd shape during the installation of my laminate flooring. Also great to cut the door jam.

It is easier to change blades.

Love this tool. I don't know how I worked without it. It cuts gyprock, wood and metal. I use it regularly around the house.

It makes me want to cry when I think of all the time I wasted undercutting door frames by hand... If you are installing laminate or vinyl plank/tile flooring, this tool is a must. Zip, zip, done. I just finished four doorways in less time than it used to take me to do one by hand - with zero frustration and zero effort - and the resulting cut is much cleaner too. I also made use of the scraper blade to get rid of glue residue on the subfloor - another hated job that is much harder by hand. It isn't the latest model available; CT now carries a Mastercraft 2.5A version. I was going to buy that because CT had it on sale for 50% off, but this was still significantly cheaper than the 'sale' price at CT. Worth it in time saved in this one small hallway job alone. The only small drawback is that the Segmented saw blade is not flush cut, although the smaller flush cut blades did the job even if they took a few seconds longer.

I bought this to trim my spray foam after application in my RV as it would be easier/quicker with my arthritis. I have used this for way more than just trimming foam. This tool is a must for reno's. I have used to to trim/cut wood panels/boards/walls, sanding, feeding electrical wires, trimming pipes; and so on. So many uses in one tool! It's nice and lightweight for small hands. I'm really happy I bought this.
