The platform was just the right size for the travel cage I am using it for. My bird immediately perched on it. The platform is well made and the hardware was shiny and easy to use. The coating on the platform is the same on both top and bottom so I assume if my birds nails wear it out I can just flip it over. It's like getting two for the price of one! The coating makes it very stable for a bird, especially for a travel cage. I'm very impressed and will look into getting a larger size for my regular cage.

Nice perch that is also an emory board for nails and beaks. I received mine in a very nice Orange color and packaging was great. Now, I'm waiting for my 2 tiels to warm up to it and stop staring at it. One of them did rest one foot on it while holding on to the cage bars with the other foot. My cockatiels are explorers first, so watching them try it out will be fun. Also, I had no issue with attaching this perch to their cage. The last perch i purchased from the pet store was either poorly made or crafted with a small start up cage with thin bars in mind. My cage is huge with bar spacing being the exact for a cockatiel or conure. So, thank you to the seller for such a well made product and having an idea with birds in mind. I will update on the beak and nail filing.

My two parakeets absolutely love this stand. This is the first time they’ve ever had a platform to stand on as opposed to a traditional perch and they took a liking to it really quickly. They tend to use it one at a time, it’s a little too small for both of their egos (even though they both could fit physically). They also love to chew on the edges which is a bonus activity, but means I’ll probably be buying many more in the future! Highly recommend for anyone with parakeets to add some diversity to the cage.

These just arrived and while the perch themselves are decent, I was really disappointed with screws and bolts that came with it. The grommets/washers were rusted and unsuitable to be put in any bird cage. Luckily I have some extra bits from old toys laying around so I will just use those so my birds don’t inadvertently chew the rusted metal. Maybe I just got a bad set, but for the price I would hope these wouldn’t be a possible health hazard for a pet. I don’t want to return them as everything else seems great and a good size for my cockatiels, but just be wary and inspect everything.

After recently purchasing a new parakeet and cage I was in need of purchasing additional perches as the perches that came with the cage were not enough. I searched Amazon as sadly since Petland closed its stores my community no longer has any pet stores. I saw this perch stand which I thought would be something different than just another bar across the cage and my new parakeet is on it most of the day. She actually lies down on it and rolls over while holding onto the bars on the cage with her foot. The perch is easy to clean and it will help keep her nails trimmed. This is really a great product and I am very happy with my purchase and recommend it to anyone that owns birds.

The dark color made Zelda a little apprehensive at first but in a couple of days, and a tree treat, she now loves it. The wood is light and easy to install. As you can see the washers outside of the cage make it very sturdy. The wood is soft so she does nibble on it and the sides are a little chewed on but that is part of the fun for her. The grit was a little weird for her at first but she is used to it now. She stands on it many times a day and stretches her feet out nicely. It is easy to access her attention in the corner and she always calls and meets us there. It is easy to install/uninstall for cleaning. The only downside is it easy for her to mess on and while cleaning it is easy the wood it stays damp for a while so I need to turn it over where it is clean and dry.

My green cheeked conure like it and his nail grow so fast every 3 month have to take vet and they charge us for easy check up automatically comes with it that’s 40$ and nail trim 7$ . Even I have nation wide avian insurance they only cover once a year for full exam up to 180$. usually back to me 77$ for one exam .Other easy check up and nail cut wasn’t back to me nothing or 30$ . (2019 update Vet price up a lot this year i going same vet 6 years .127$ for culture and nail trim at my vet check up price up now and nail cut is easy exam includes 80$ since i got this perch i took my bird only twice a year instead of 4 time a year ! no problem using this and still good shape. My cockatiels and parakeet likes too now.) My bird never like vet so I bought sand flat perch for try . It was good choice for took off very sharp tip off . But my bird scard blight orange . yellow was not too bad .I got random color. took my bird couple weeks to get used to it . His nail tips are start not sharp and not stuck our clothes ,I feel safe and order two more . And save money for extra nail cut cost at vet . My birds happy to hear don’t have to go vet often too lol.

It's a good flat perch, it's thick, sturdy. My bird didn't use it yet but I'm sure he will when he gets use to it. My only complaint is that it's rusty. I can buy new ones to put on, so it's not too big of a deal. But seeing as how I bought this product under the impression it was new etc... It's a let down that it's rusty. But hey it's still a nice sturdy item. So I would recommend it to others for their own birds.
