I’ve been using the LinkTap D1 with the 2-zone timer for a while now, and I couldn’t be happier. Installation was quick and straightforward, and the system connected to my Wi-Fi and phone app without any issues. The interface is intuitive, and scheduling watering times is a breeze. One of my favorite features is the built-in flow meters – it’s incredibly useful to monitor water usage per zone, and the real-time fault detection gives me peace of mind knowing I’ll be notified instantly if something goes wrong. The weather-adaptive watering feature is a great bonus too, automatically adjusting the schedule based on rain or temperature changes. The build quality is solid, and the connection has been reliable. I also really appreciate the detailed insights and remote control capabilities – makes managing the garden so much easier, especially when I’m away. Last year we lost many plants while we were on vacation due to a prolonged drought. Replacing them proved costly so this year we decided to set up an automatic watering system as such 'extreme weather' seems increasingly common. The LinkTap water timer looked robust and well-designed so we opted for it even though it's slightly more expensive than rival models. Having used it for several weeks, this seems to have been a good decision - it's easy to set up, highly controllable and works reliably. We opted for the two outlet model (model D1) so that one outlet controls a 13mm supply hose (from Hozelock and fitted with universal dripper units) running along flowerbeds on the lefthand side of the garden while the other controls the hose on the righthand side. This arrangment means there are no worries about possible low water pressure as we can irrigate one side of the garden first, then the other. The hardware is robust and well-designed. There was a minor problem with the physical installation of the water timer unit due to its width (~163mm). The easiest way to attach it to our threaded tap was to rotate the unit clockwise until it fitted snugly. However, its width meant that it barely cleared the brick wall during rotation. Other than that, installation was easy. Installation of the app and creation of a watering plan was also easy. I particularly like the way the app informs you about the water flow rate. This allows you to fine-tune the system after installation to deliver the optimum amount of water to your plants. It's clear that a great deal of thought went into the design of this versatile software - even down to the judiciously-chosen gurgling sound effect!

I bought a LinkTap after my trusted Orbit stopped working after years of use. I’m so glad I did! Being able to manage it from anywhere and set up the programs remotely is such a time saver!! Customer support is brilliant - very quick response to my question! The app is easy to navigate too after a bit of an explore. It can even self judge its watering reading the weather itself after you set the parameters.

My previous watering system was a Gardena single outlet. It was digital but all adjustments where made on the built in screen which was a pain, when it started playing up decided to try the dual Linktap. Very good product and excellent build quality. Easy to fit. You need to hard wire the gateway there is no wi-fi connection for the gateway itself. Range is very good even through multiple walls. One function that I liked on my previous model was the ability to alter the interval between watering on the fly. So you could change between 24hrs, 12hrs, 8hrs etc. With this item you have set up separate watering plans for each period during the day, no repeating the same plan. Nice to have the dual option, I don't have a large garden but it nice to get the full pressure by watering with an offset by a few minutes. Great for the lazy people we have become, just sit on the sofa and adjust to your hearts content and leave the actual gardening to the wife LOL.

The LinkTap D1 is an excellent unit and I have been using 2 of them happily since 2023. The app is straight forward to use, great that it checks rain forecast and doesn’t water if it’s due. However, I have to say the customer services is exceptional. My oldest unit notified me it needed new batteries and after swapping them over, it didn’t power on. Tried several sets, swapping battery trays between the two units and nothing. Contacted them via their customer services email and after verification, they said they would send a new unit out. Arrived next day! Highly recommended company for product and service

After a couple of days my initial view is this is excellent. Setup of bridge and tap are simple and well-explained and it all just worked first time. I've only explored a few of the features but I can't see anything missing. Things that could be improved on an otherwise excellent system (still five stars from me): 1) The app needs tidying up. There's a lot in there and it works very well but navigation and function delineation could both do with some reorganising and cleaning up to make it more intuitive and easy to read. 2) Both units could do with wall mount options. I've got mine mounted away from a tap and made up some metalwork to mount it to a wall for connecting to hosepipes. You wouldn't want it to be permanently wider to accommodate this but If it had some recessed machine screw sockets in the sides of the case to pair with ears, supplied for use as an option, that'd be very useful, particularly for the main unit, but also for the bridge. 3) Toolless battery removal. Plenty of ways to keep it water-tight without forcing everyone to fiddle around for the Phillips every time they need to refresh their AAs. Overall excellent.

I'm absolutely delighted about this product. It's extremely easy to install and it just works - even tough my modem sits in the living room and the LinktapValve it communicates with sits in the greenhouse which is 15m away. The app is also very easy to navigate and the functions are just awesome - you can have even/odd schedules (which my expensive robot lawnmower from another company doesn't have), you have weather forecasts which pauses the schedule available, you have a flow meter so you know how much water you're using and you can even add your personal water costs per cubic metre. Of course you can manually start the device physically as well as in the app any time. So in short this product has any functions you may wish for plus cool functions you may not even expect. This is not a given since I know apps of other companies that don't even have the simplest options like even/odd schedules. So thank you LinkTap for a product that just works!

Zero regrets with this product, overly satisfied. We love the 2 valve LinkTap timer. I have a 2 zone irrigation system running 3/4 poly to 150sqft raised garden with approximately 20 drip and spray heads and 1/2 poly to about 20 drip heads for potted plants and planters. The timer has been a huge step up for our gardening. Simple setup, high quality build, zero leaking, and a great app with nice options like rain skip, weather tracking, multiple pre built scheduling templates to choose from, spending tracking, historical reporting and a big bonus of a web UI to access your timer from a PC/MAC browser. We will likely build out our install with more LinkTap products.

This is a fantastic product that is clearly the result of a lot of engineering effort. The network link architecture is best of class with zigbee short hop to the gateway device (not a cheap rubbish thing) that has a proper wired ethernet interface. Setup was flawless and it has been rock solid since then. Wish I could say the same for my cameras and other stuff... I've tried some of the cheap zigbee/wi-fi irrigation controllers and they are all frustrating by either poor network connectivity, instructions, control software, control options or all of the above. The unit has integrated flow meter and straight away it helped me identify a leak that has been taking about 20% of my water. Probably paid for itself right there? Interface has enough options to satisfy a systems engineer and a data scientist. If you're going away this thing gives you confidence you'll stay in remote-control and won't come home to a flood as it can detect a range of problems. Now I've only had it for a few weeks, so cant comment on battery life or other longevity issues, but signs are good. Don't settle for anything that doesn't reliably give you control and access to your watering status, averages and history from the coffee shop!

The second time I buy it, it works perfectly. However I wish they change the app because it looks like 1990s app otherwise perfect product.
