This compared to wonder shells?

Diffrent, not that it doesnt work as a wonder shell. I would use a wonder shell more for a ph buffer. This product i use to supplement minerals. The shrimp feed on it as well. This and catapa leaves =shrimp spawns !

Can this be given to garden snails?

Seriously, why feed garden snails? If they are in your garden, they have plenty to eat. In any case, these are water soluable. And my fish ignored them.

Are these good for beta fish?

Beta fish are omnivores, but eat mostly insects so this would not be sufficient food for a beta.
