Economical replacement battery
Everything worked out as planned. The most difficult part is getting the old battery out but once that is completed, smooth sailing. As others have said, it is a fiddly process but if you take your time, not too difficult. For a phone not worth a ton of money at this point ( Pixel 5 ) this was a very good choice versus spending over twice as much on the factory battery, and you get the needed tools along with the battery. How long the battery will last is a valid question but even if it fails in the year, still worth the money to get the extra use from the phone.

Works fine - other review doesnt make sense
This battery works fine, installation equipment works as expected. This is a fine replacement battery for a Google Pixel 4. There is another review that is 1* saying that this battery doesnt work because you have to unglue your phone to install it. That has nothing to do with the quality of this battery or kit. To install any battery from any vendor into a Pixel 4, you must open the phone, and that requires unsealing it (and that does void the warranty; but the warranty on a Pixel 4 expired years ago anyway.) Indeed, almost any phone, notebook, smartphone, etc. that you buy these days are sealed by the manufacturer. Sure, I would like to see manufacturers of these devices make it easier for consumers to repair them themselves. But the fact of the matter is that the Pixel 4 phone is glued shut. To replace the battery you must unglue it and then re-glue it when you are done. If you are not comfortable doing that, then do take your phone to a professional and have them do it - but dont complain about the battery being sold here on Amazon.

Sad
Quality control issue .with soldering pins for power cable. Removed and installed battery with standard precautions. I've done numerous battery replacements for pixels. This Pixel 4XL Battery appears to have bricked the phone, as it was functional before install. Replaced with competitors battery as a differential. Phone no longer boots.

Did not last 90 days before dying.
Battery did not last 90 days. It stopped holding a charge right after the return window closed. Updated to 3 stars since company is sending a replacement. They honored the 12 month warranty.

Working on Pixel4XL
Replaced the battery for my PIXEL4XL, and currently working. Watched YouTube video and was pretty simple and straight forward. Just need a steady hand and good memory to remember where screws go to. Hopefully this one lasts, will keep yall updated.

Everything You Need to Get Your Pixel 5 Going Again
The title say it all. As expected it's a meticulous replacement process. But for those that have the skills needed it's well worth it.

Plastic tool broke
Kept getting the can't read battery meter error. Wouldn't turn on unless plugged in. Thought it wouldn't hurt to try replacing the battery. Watched a few videos, no problem. Got the back off using the metal guitar pick thing. Tried to use the plastic pry tool to get the battery out, broke first try. Got it out, connected the new one, used the supplied glue strips. Screws back in, plugged it in and nothing. Tried undoing the connections and re connecting but couldn't get them to sit securely. Dropped the phone, lost 2 screws. Put it together as best I could. Kit did not provide glue straps to attach the back of the phone, but there was enough residual it stuck. Oh well, it was a last ditch try on an old phone. Thank goodness I had backed everything to the cloud.
