This 6.5" wire cutter can be used to cut most artificial flower stems. However, it depends on how thick the artifical flower stems are and how tough the artifical flower stems is. If its too tough it would probably damage the blades. If the artificial flower stems you want to cut are thick or contain hard metal, please choose 8" BOOSDEN Wire Cutters Heavy Duty.

Will these deform cutting guitar strings?

These cutters would be fine for nylon guitar strings but I think steel strings might spoil them. I would use heavier cutters for steel strings.
