In December some thieves almost made off with my daughters 2017 Kia luckily for us something must’ve scared them off. So I searched online and found this gem. Well, someone came back the other night and smashed the window but because the key did not unlock this device, the alarm started to sound and they left unfortunately $100 deductible later for glass but at least we still have the car. If you’re looking for something, this is perfect, with a key coming to fit the lock No, to the same as we have two of these, we now feel secure that they will not be able to steal my daughters car or my truck. Just a reminder, don’t try to drive away with it closed as it too, will sound off, even though you have taken it off of the steering wheel. I highly recommend this product for any car that does not have the push button start that thieves are breaking into to take your vehicle.

It wouldn't release off my steering wheel one day for no obvious reason and after successfully using it other times. A locksmith had to cut it off my steering wheel leaving me with $170 bill for being able to get my car back. There is no customer service number/means of contacting Tevlaphee on their website despite posting customer service hours. Amazon did not have a customer service number for Tevlaphee. So how does Tevlaphee stand behind their product if you can't reach them? The only way I could get a response was to post a question about the product and they responded but not to my problem. You know they won't pay my bill although they should. The locksmith cut the bar between the two braces to get it off my steering wheel. LATER...update: Tevlaphee said they have insurance to cover the locksmith but I had to go through Amazon to get it. Now I can't figure out how to get a hold of a person from Amazon to process it. They make it such that you won't pursue it....and I think I have finally given up seeing any money to compensate for having to have a locksmith cut off the lock.

I recently purchased the Tevlaphee Steering Wheel Lock with Alarm for my 2023 Challenger, and I’m happy to share my experience. Overall, this product proved to be an effective security measure, and I’m relieved it was in place during an attempted theft. While someone did manage to break into my car and ransack the interior, the steering wheel lock held firm. The thief caused some damage in their efforts, but the lock’s performance was admirable; it did not budge under pressure. Although the thief was able to disable my car's alarm by removing a fuse and attempted to silence the lock's alarm with a tool—resulting in some damage to the Tevlaphee lock itself—it remained securely in place. I truly believe that without this lock, the situation could have turned out much worse. While I did incur about $4,500 in damages to the car, I’m grateful that the lock prevented a complete theft. I’ve already ordered a replacement for the damaged lock because I want to ensure my car remains protected. If you’re looking for a robust additional layer of security for your vehicle, I highly recommend the Tevlaphee Steering Wheel Lock with Alarm. It may not be foolproof, but it certainly does its job well and offers peace of mind.

Pros: robust sturdy and huge Cons: The battery cover should also be made of some sort of alloy vs plastic, need to be careful about the tiny screws and should use larger screws-be careful not to lose the screws or the screwdriver .. The sparse instructions are not the greatest .. let's face it; There is no guarantee against car theft .. this anti-theft device on the steering wheel will only do so much when it can also be circumvented by car thieves simply by hacking away at the steering wheel and not the lock itself .. BUT hopefully it will buy you a little time for the owner to realize there is something wrong and would either call the police or take care of it themselves (I don't need to spell that out ..) .. so in a nutshell the only thing you need to remember is to turn your steering wheel all the way to either side but probably not brute forcing it to the extreme otherwise you would ruin your power steering pump .. assuming the steering lock is open You don't need to put the key inside and just clamp it to the steering wheel to the top facing the window with the handle .. in terms of batteries it is a triple AAA (For those wondering what a #7 battery is) .. ultimally I would probably change it more frequently if weather is either too hot or too cold -3 to 5 months due to draining in inclement weather .. .. I'm sure you can also use this as a battering ram on a window .. or self-defense! recommended👍👌👊

I am pleasantly surprised by this. It has a weakness being the lock cylinder is easy to drill out but the alarm sensitivity kind of helps with that. Shake the unit and a high pitched alarm goes off. A bit pricey but a good added deterant. Very easy to install no assembly.

L'antivol est très costaud. Il est facile à utiliser, facile à poser et à mettre en service. La seule précaution il faut tourner le volant avant d’arrêter la voiture, pour qu'une des barres du volant soit verticale et fixer l'antivol sur cette barre. Dès lors que l'antivol est posé et serré sur la barre du volant, la fonction électronique se met en fonctionnement après une temporisation, il reste à sortir de la voiture. En rentrant dans la voiture une temporisation nous donne le temps de mettre la clef dans la serrure et de desserrer l'antivol, l'alarme électronique se désactive. L'alarme fonctionne avec 3 piles AAA alcalines, non fournies.
