Used this to grow some yeast and they work amazingly. That's all I can say about these.

Work really well. To put in the replacement loops you have to twist. This works, but is slightly inconvenient. It would not keep me from buying this again. The loops are very thin, but have worked well so far.

The loops are OK. Thin enough to heat in flame, strong enough for innoculations. They turn black in flame, but that isn't a problem for my application. The loops are not twisted as in the photo. They are shaped like a question mark (?) at the innoculating end. The handle feels cheap. Fit and finish are poor. When I got it, the loops didn't fit into the chuck at all. Here's how I modified mine: I took the collar off the handle, spread the chuck jaws with a knife, and used a jeweler's file to smooth the chuck jaws and open them a bit near the end. That made it much easier to insert the loops in the chuck. Once tightened, the chuck holds the loops securely and I found it easy to maneuver when innoculating. The ease of inserting loops depends on how much effort you put into modifying the chuck.

Really durable and hold up! I have been using this for my Microbiology lab and have done streak plates and slides. They hold up when put into a flame multiple times for sterilization. I would definitely recommend. Only downside I think is that at times the loops seem a little flimsy. I would prefer them to be a little bit thicker and not so easily bendable

This loop is light weight, well balanced and comes with a packet of additional ends. Would recommend purchasing.
