I especially like to use when I eat things like carbs and ...
Fiber really should be part of everyone's health plan. Sadly most people are seriously lacking fiber in their diet. So it really helps to get it in other ways that the body can utilize.I especially like to use it when I eat things like carbs and sugary items. It helps a bit to pull things through my system more efficiently. It binds with fats and sugar molecules as it travels through our digestive system. This can reduce the calories that get absorbed. It also helps to stabilize blood sugars so it can be a significant benefit in battling diabetes. There are many other benefits to fiber but it is always best to do your own homework to learn how to keep yourself healthy.

Compare to Kirkland Signature Fiber Capsules and Equate Fiber Therapy
Costco sells Kirkland Signature Fiber Capsules (psyllium husk capsules), Walmart sells Equate Fiber Therapy (psyllium husk capsules), and Sam's Club sells Member's Mark Fiber Capsules (psyllium husk capsules). The prices are all very competitive. The size of each capsule is exactly the same on these other 3 brands and on Yerba Prima Psyllium Husks. However, each Yerba Prima veg capsule contains 625mg of psyllium while the other 3 brands contain 500mg or 520mg of psyllium in each capsule. If you try to squish a Yerba Prima capsule, it doesn't collapse as much as when trying to squish the capsule of any of these other 3 brands. This means that Yerba Prima has put more psyllium into each capsule than its 3 competitors without increasing the size of each capsule. Please click "Comment" below for the links to 2 scientific studies. The first study says psyllium works slightly better than docusate sodium, which is what medical doctors prescribe for constipation. The second study says that psyllium users are less likely to develop colorectal cancer:

They keep me regular as advertised as long as I take the recommended dose of four capsules three times a day
These psyllium husk capsules are more convenient than powder. I take them when away from home. They can be taken with meals and do not need to be dissolved in liquid. They keep me regular as advertised as long as I take the recommended dose of four capsules three times a day, which is not so convenient. Four capsules twice a day also works but to a lesser degree. Your mileage may vary

They work
Been using these for years on and off. If you take them every day three times a day for two weeks you will have a healthy number two. Give them time.

does the job just as effectively as the more expensive brands
I find that fiber supplements help me a ton as I move toward healthier eating. I was using some brand name products, and they worked well, but were expensive. Store brands helped with the price, but often just didn't seem to work as well for me as some had smaller dosages.Yerba's fiber works just as well as the name brands in the drugstore, but they are much less expensive. This is both because each bottle costs less, and because each capsule has slightly more psyllium husk in it (625mg vs. 500mg in most over-the-counter brands). So you need fewer capsules per dose, while the overall bottle cost is still less. It's the best of both worlds for me and a very good value for the money.

Helps with digestive issues (might even solve them)
A friend of mine recommended this brand. I had been using Metamucil, which is just psyllium in a capsule. So it made sense to switch to psyllium by is own name. Especially since Metamucil costs a bit more. These capsules seem to work just as well. I take them in the evening, 4 capsules daily. My friend takes them first thing in the morning. They can interfere with some meds, so timing is important. Psyllium pretty much solves my digestive issues.
