These are the best shiitake mushrooms I've ever had and they're organic and for a decent price! Like a lot of us, I'm trying to be healthy and I know that a lot of other countries don't care about what goes into their plants. The fact that this is organic and aromatic and healthy for you means everything. I use this in soups and dishes and when you don't have meat, this is definitely flavorful enough to be a replacement. You don't even need to add salt or seasoning and it's entirely amazing on its own! Just soak in water to rehydrate and cook.

Nice flavor but way too small. I've never seen dried shiitake this tiny, which makes the a bit more cumbersome to stem and cut.

The Shitake Mushrooms are the perfect individual button size mushrooms that are perfect bite size! No longer do I have to attempt to bite in half or a smaller size scorching hot Shitake mushrooms. Very presentable in any dish you might be preparing..! This is a nice find..

As incredibly good as I was told they would be.

I should have done my research, as these are more "dried" than "freeze dried" which is what I wanted. However, they were tasty. Keep in mind, though, these are probably intended for cooking as they have a strong flavor and have no seasonings or anything - they're honest when they say it's literally just mushrooms. I was buying them to see if I could eat them as a snack (I have a very limited diet), so I ate them as is, and the texture reminded me of extremely stale popcorn. Not bad, but not great. This would probably be a great way to create mushroom stock or to liven up dishes without worrying about the mushrooms going bad. Just as a snack, they're okay. Probably better for cooking instead.
