A very good saw::}
This saw is a tremendous bargain. It's a current built version of when saws were simple. Very good build quality. A nice replacement for my original one built in the 90s. Seriously this saw is good.

Engineerโs review
Was somewhat skeptical. Generally only use big name saws. After first start all restarts are one pull only. I used Stihlโs (complicated) standard carburetor tuning method on it, which was necessary for 6000 feet elevation. Tuned easily. Started up before tune and ran fine without but was way rich. Iโm running a 25 inch bar and it cut dry doig fir 23 inches in diameter just fine. Iโll continue to break it in and put it in some tougher wood and see how it does. Overall, it seems like a pretty sweet deal. Be aware that not all the plastic lines up great and clearly itโs not a real STIHL but it does seem to run and cut quite well. Gas cap leaks, which is lame.

Sprocket/crank shaft broke after 3 months
Iโve had the saw for about 3 months and the sprocket/crank shaft broke. It was a great saw, comparable to the brand names. I would normally return a product that breaks; but thereโs no returns.

This thing is a Beast....no issues with the 872i upgraded unit
I bought the 872i upgraded version. Soaked the chain in chain oil for a few days b4 use. Running STIHL Syn 2S oil and chain oil. First 2 tank fulls were alittle heavier on the 2S oil. Start up was pretty simple: couple pulls on full choke then off choke. Pull til you feel it tighten up then release cord then pull back up. I did run the Hi & Lo alittle over 1 out. Had to adjust the idle down also. Thing ran like a beast for me. NO Issues. Had to adjust the chain 2-3 times. Is it as good as a STIHL or Husqvarna? Prob not but I am not a tree guy using this chainsaw all day everyday. Longevity I really cant make that judgement yet. Update March 2026: 3rd yr of ownership. Only issue was adjusting the trigger spring. I use RedArmor 2t oil. Bought the stihl mixing bottle & 2 in 1 sharpener. I highly recommend both. I switched over to a Skip tooth full chisel chain. Cuts alot quicker. I sharpen when I refill both the chain oil & the fuel. Make sure to refill the chain oil EVERYTIME you re-fuel. I run a NeoTec 24" bar and cut/buck/split almost 2 cords a year. I run an HF log splitter. This chainsaw was a good buy for me. I would recommend

Good saw with some discrepancies
First off love the saw runs well out of the box. After looking at reviews I expected an elastic pull start cord and ear muffs I did not receive this which makes me wonder if I got the other up graded components such as carburetor and ignition. When I first ran it the chain tightened and loosened as it ran which seems to have worn out of it with use and it had a wrap around handle which I did not want for stump work. All of these statements are to set expectations for future purchasers overall runs great for now.

Tough and powerful
An amazing saw for the price. This thing eats through wood with the 72cc motor. The saw and all the extras that you get have truly exceeded my expectations. I am very pleased and impressed with its quality of build and performance.

1st pwr head failed in less then 5 minutes
The 1st saw seized up in less then 5 minutes out of the box. Called customer service and after 2weeks they tried to send me a cylinder so I could repair my saw. Told then unacceptable and they exchanged the pwr head. Ended up buying a husqvarna saw while waiting for this replacement saw. The replacement pwr head does run strong time will tell how to last

like my forty year old Stihl 038 which is a complete monster that pulls a 32 inch chain
Update. Bar flaw accounting for chains wearing fast Found the bar that came with the now deceased unit had a bend possibly due to laminate flaws. The rise when laying down on side is 1/8inch bow starts aggressive at just over halfway to the tail. Waiting for customer service response. Only requested a replacement bar. Already have three chains. Had a substandard part irreparably damage the saw and turn it into a paper weight. At the end of the run in period. I am very Impressed with the customer service I received from neotech. A new power head was sent out immediately after I provided pictures of the flaw. Which I will not mention. Simply because of possible false claims from other people that weren't as satisfied. The new power head is half way through the run in period with a bigger inner dog as well as an outer dog when I equip it. The extra gap takes another half inch of the bar length, but definitely improved stability. It's cutting like the first. Following the printed included neotec instructions and running 35 to 1 mix for about seven tanks then going to forty to one for one gallon total to finally fifty to one.

Engine seized when item received. Looks like someone had this before we got it!
Very dissatisfied. With first pull, it would not start. Hard time removing spark plug, which was black. Pull cord would not pull. We are blaming it on person who previous purchased. Amazon will not accept return, so we are out 500. plus $!!
